Empire knights kick ass.
Well they used to.....
Templar Grand Master of the Knights Panthar
Sword of Power
Battle Standard Bearer
2 x Dispel Scroll
2 x Dispel Scroll
12 Knights of the Blazing Sun
Banner of the Daemonslayer
12 Blood Knights (before they were turned into vampires)
11 Knights Panthar
Standard of Arcane Warding
Just love this army its so much fun to play with
In my opinion, you could break the knights into smaller units of 5 or 6 knights and drop the banner. These smaller units would help in flanking and to protect your general's flank or rear. At 2000 points list, 4 units is a very small number. The unit with the Templar could remain at 12 or 11 but I would break up the others.
The BSB if not equipped with a magic standard could use a magic weapon. I'd probably give him the sword of might.

buy a brettonia army book.
No empire knight's unit should have more than 6 models in it (including characters)
War priest would do better than bsb (since he's not taking a magic banner) since hatred first turn would give you a sporting chance.
Anyone in their right mind and with a half decent knowledge of the rules should be able to handle this army without problem - you have 4 units - most of the models will never see combat and serve no effective purpose, you are extremely susceptible to redirecting and shooting and march blocking. This doesn't look fun, it looks painful for the person playing it. If you break these up into 6wide units with a bunch of flanking 5 man with musician knights, then you will at least give yourself a chance.
Rubber lance syndrome is your only problem then.
I would have to agree, not a whole lot of units, but it is fun that your list is the polar opposite of my list: All knights where i have none.
It's good you've had some success with this, but yeah, wouldn't be hugely difficult to trump this army.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
