I am looking to buy a 2000 point army i already have like 20 state-troops 12 knights and a general and im looking to spend around £200, i will obviously need to buy the codex but im looking for suggestions awnser quick please as im looking to get some soon
Well you cant go wrong with some artillary depending on who your opponents are a greatcannon for big nasties and mortors for hordes of low toughness opponents. Big blocks of state troops are pretty much a must and will benifet from detachments. A unit of handgunners or crossbows are the usual also.
The thing is that the empire allows you to build an army that suites you so it is difficult to choose for someone else. If you want an army that sits back and blows the foe apart with missile fire then loads of artillary, hangunners, crossbows and state troops. But if you want to take the fight to the enemy then you can focuss on knights, greatswords, halberdiers, flagellants, steamtanks, etc. really it is up to you and i find the best approach is to make a well rounded list or focuss on a themed army that gives it character.
For example a hochland army will have loads of hangunners with hochland long rifles and some outriders also. A Nuln army will load up on artillary. A stirland army will have spearmen, archers and crossbows and so on.
