    Combined Arms 2500

I am going to give this "modified gunline" combined arms approach a few tries. Please give me some critiques before I run it.

    Lords:
Arch Lector (with knights) - 168
-heavy armor, charmed shield, barded warhorse, crown of command

Shadow Wizard Lord (with handgunners) - 270
-level 4, dispel scroll, talisman of preservation

    Heroes:
Beasts Battle Wizard (with handgunners) - 65
    -level 1

    Core:
    14 IC Knights - 380
    -FC

    26 Hangunners - 264
    -FC

    Special:
    6 Demigryphs - 393
    -FC, Banner of Swiftness

    10 Outriders - 240
    -FC

    10 Outriders - 240
    -FC

    2 Cannons - 240

    Rare:
    2 Helblasters - 240

    Total: 2500

The general idea is to use the vanguard moves of the outriders to set up "moving volley guns" on the flanks and to use the demigryphs as a sledgehammer with the IC knights as more of a backup unit.

with your build... during set up phase you could place both units of outriders on one flank with one volley gun just inside them... the cannons could also go on the extreme flank and have a field of fire diagonally across a battle line, that will give your dice on the initial and bounce roll a little leeway, as shooting past your main target might bounce it into an enemy sister unit in the line.....then your HG unit..then post the other VG on the other side of the handgunners...overloading one side of the field can make an opposing army come the long way into your line... allowing for more shots to come in.... then you could use both cav as a charge counter or to hold the opposite flank..... concerned about the staying power of those two combat units though..... so much arty and no engineers though? might wanna think about that.

And also come to think of it... with your shooty list... why did you choose those certain lores of magic? wouldn't you be better served with one that has a spell that will give your shooting a +1 to hit (not sure if there is one because I do not have a BRB in front of me at this time)?

Drop two gryphs. Four wide is ideal, and in the second row, only the puny humans, not the mounts, get to attack. Besides, you have zero margin for casualties if you dream that six gryphs will disrupt. Use the points to get a naked engineer for the cannons, it's better than having a third cannon, for a lot fewer points. Throw the leftovers into more handgunners, snd you're set.
