Welcome to Librarium Online!
um firstly i toght to add lots of infantry in very small units of 5-10 so i can have the last fieldin with my big unit of 15.
5 halberdiers 30
detachment 5 handgunners 40
(i know the rules of it has to be half the parent unit but it also states that it must be a minimum of 5 guys so).
15 spearmen 90
detachment 6 swordsmen 42
and of course 3 handgunners + marsmen with a hochland long rifle.
there we go still got 4 points to spare oh!!!
34 guys and a hochland long rifle.
246 points:wacko: i think thata alot for 250
Here's an idea
Captain - full plate, shield. - 60
14 Swordsmen - 84
detachments-> 5 Halberds - 25
Points - 249
Models - 30
This gives you leadership 8, plus a decent combat character. You have shooting to soften up anything dangerous (if someone took cavalry or somtin) and you have a decent size infantry unit. And! you have fulfilled all legal requirements having 2 core, and character.
no ireally want to get that hochland long rifle in there cause there is bound to be one person who adds a mage or a captain or some thing that would be fun to snipe.
My 250pt list would look something like this (including a hochland long rifle):
--Hochland long rifle
+5x swordsmen detach
A lot less models overall, but those pistoliers could really be a nuisance. Anyway, just an idea.
If you want something including a character, then a captain with full plate and a shield would be good. Put him in a unit of swordsmen and you should still have enough points to field your marksmen with the hochland.
Something like this:
--hochland long rifle
I don't have my army book with me but that should still leave a few points for an extra swordsman or something.
i like your idea with the captain so thx beaker
