    2150 Empire Tourney (First Try)

    Hello all,
    I have been playing around with an empire army for some time now, just thought I would post it for review. I have been out of warhammer for 3 years now so I might be a little rusty(been playing to much 40k!)

    I recently played this against a friends Brets. It was a close game but his general got slaughtered by the steam tank at the end of the game and won it for me.

    Wow, that's one hell of a nasty list! I love the Empire, all that shooting and you can still get 3 units of 25 infantry!^_^

    My advice would be to trade a wizard for a BSB, make your line more solid when he reaches it.

    Personally I prefer mortars over cannons, I think they do more damage. I would be tempted to trade up two cannons for mortars (keep one cannon for utility purposes).

    I just have a couple of questions about the list.

    How can you fit all those units into the deployment zone?
    How well does it cope without any mobile units whatsoever?
    How often has it been accused of being a Gunline army?

    Easily. I usually have the blocks on the flanks or the center(depends on terrian). The handgunners go the opposite of the blocks. The cannons where they can get the best fire arcs. The steam tank to block any nasty assualt unit. The Helblaster to hold a flank.

    The steam tank is really the only mobile thing in the army, but that is not a big deal.

    How often has it been accused of being a Gunline army?
    How could you say that it is not a gunline army? And even though it is...who cares? Whats wrong with having a gunline army? Why does the number of time that it has been accused matter?

    Thanks for the comments. I have thought about changing some of the cannons to mortars and maybe getting more troops and changing the helblaster to a helstorm.

    I'd find some points and give your Halberd blocks some detachments of either Free Company or Swordsmen. These should help alleave some of the pain when your opponent's depleated army finally makes it to you.
