If you wanted a unit of infantry ranked 5x5, how many swordsmen would you take with a mounted BSB? The mounted model's base takes up more than 2 spaces!!
Never tried it myself, but what I'd do is just get the unit rankes up as normal, shove the BSB in, and then rearrange the unit around him.
*adds getting a Foot/Mtd BSB to the to-do list*.
Well, remember that mounted units are unit strength 2 so really, they are only filling up 2 spots even though they are taking up a bit more room (if we had units w/ larger bases, there wouldn't be any kind of problem though). I use mounted characters in my foot troops a lot and that seems to work w/ me.
I do it to get the better save and it is a bit untidy in the unit. The worst part is that you need to make a slightly larger movment tray to accomodate the BSB.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
