I was surprised no one has brought this up before so yeah, I was curious as to where everyone's army was from and why. Personally I run a Talabheim army, for the most part true to the color scheme that is in the army book. I don't have any pictures at the moment but I will try to upload some here pretty soon. I was really attracted to it's fluff, being a city made from a meteor crater, a secure bastion with a thousands strong guard. However recently, I have come to appreciate it's religious significance and it fits quite well with my army since I like Warrior Priests so much and that I am converting greatswords from Grave Guard and I fancy them to be disciples of the local temple. Well that's enough from me until I get those pictures up. How about you guys?
North Talabecland. The city of Cumferenceberg is a very interesting one.
It's kind of like a city state, with a few small villages under its domain. The man in charge is Sir Cumference (he changed its name a few years back)- who is also head of the Knights of the Round Table, and one of the council of the Archon Academy.
Team Archon makes things very interesting. The founder and head is Auraifka (translated to ArchonFarseerGuy- often shortened to Archon), who ran a DE arena under duress some time back, then decided he liked that kind of thing, so came to Cumferenceberg (it's around about where his kindred in the Old Forest lives), and set up the Archon Academy. From there, it's become very multi-racial (very multi-special, for that matter- almost every species is represented here). In fact, this is the only city in the Empire with a large tribe of Beastmen defending it from the woods, and probably the only place in the world where Asrai, Forest Spirits, Humans, and Beastmen live together all fine and dandy.
That said, this city is not averse to a good fight, and has ties with countries from all around the world (Kislev, Nippon, Cathay, Ind, Tilea etc), mainly due to the Department of Refugees and Immigrants being located there. These bonds are military as well, and foreigners have been noted to fight alongside the Sate Troops before.
Moneywise, Cumferenceberg gets rich from trade down the River Reik, and onsales to other places in the Empire. Again, the Department and Academy help out immensely, providing Pit Fighters and exotic goods amongst other things.
Auraifka himself now runs an Arena of Death business, and is now in Rezephua, Lustria, expanding his business. In fact, he has brought an arena there, and hires it out to parties looking to run such a blood-furious event themselves.
Well, that's the 10,000 foot view of my bewuvered wittle city, it's very much a WiP thing, due to AoDs constantly being run, and one day I'll incorporate the Dawn Killing Fields into it.
Add my city! MARIENBURG!
i got inspired to this army when i found out it's a city based on Holland:

The fluff for my army is a little lacking in specific detail, but I like to think of it as a ramshackle cult of sigmar composed mainly of peasants and mercenaries (free company) that gained so much momentum against the hordes of chaos that it was granted some imperial gunnery and a small force of state troops as support, rather than being from a specific city. I have a few slightly different color schemes in my army, so this is a convenient excuse to say- "oh, well those halberdiers are from talabheim... but the cannons, theyre from Nuln of course!"
My army is a stirland border patrol, Green and white colour scheme
Wood elf player- 2000 points worth, Autumn theme
Empire player - 3000 points worth, Green and white
Eldar player - 1500 points worth, Blue and white
My army is a knightly order based off of the knights templars.
Not to planted on the fluff but something along the lines of being found by a few soldeirs after the great war against chaos developed a knightly order open to all men of all social classes the only requirement was devotion to Sigmar.
The knightly order became very well supported by the cult of sigmar.
Im starting the army as im typing but it will use alot of Bretonian models.
Ment at arms given swords make great knightly swordsmen.
The army is made up of sold blocks of foot soldiers caring weapons ranging from swords to halbreds for range support the men use Crossbowmen and will use the bretonian trebuchet (with the mortar rules) flaggents well they do what they do and an array of several different knight units. Pistolers with a little modeling will be crossbowlers.
the colors will be lots of whites with gold trim and red crosses everywere
My army is based in Northen Ostland, however its not a proviscial army but a colective of Sigmar's faithful determined to reclaim the lost provinces in the chaos wastes. The orinal colours were Red and White with Black to signify the giving up of each soldiers indevidual life in the name of Sigmar. After their leader Marlon was discomunicated the red was replaced with dark blue.
Its numbers come from all over the empire as they'll take anyone who swears loyalty to the disomunicated Arch Lector Marlon von Rauken, also, for reasons unknown, the Grey Oder have joined in the noble cause. Its ranks swell and depleat with each crusade, driving deeper into the Wastes each time, however each army is generally made up of mostly malita and fanatics, with the chapell guard (swordsmen) and sometimes a donation from the local engineers guild (wether this is a donation or a protection fee is often debated by local townspeople).
Cannons, Steel and mechanical pegasus is the way to go.
