Just thought I'd start a thread in which you can post your own, or interesting builds for a captain of the empire. Help less- experienced players by sharing
NOTE-- Post overall points cost, not individual costs.
Name: Otto von' thone.
NickName: The hunter.
Wargear: Hand weapon, Armour of M.iron, Dragon bow.
Description: Otto grew up in the poor state of Stirland, where he spent his childhood
hunting game for his family to eat and sell. His skill with the bow was
renowned, and at 15 years of age, he went and joined the army serving as an archer. For seven years, he fought beastmen and goblins
rising through the ranks as he did. Though he was trained also in the
way of the sword, it is with a bow in his hand that he is most
comforatble. When at last, three years ago, he was dubbed a
captain of the empire, and presented with the marvelous elven bow,
and a pegasus foal named kenta (female.)
To this day, he rides upon Kenta in war, taking out important enemy
leaders, and crew, while leading a battalion of warriors. He has brought
much fame and wealth to Stirland, and is fair and just.
Otto is a captain I'm thinking of using in my empire army. I would use
him as a sniper, taking out enemy war crew, and solitary magicians.
Mobile and efficient, I think he could work.
Thanks for reading!

Cool, i like this idea!
Born in Marienburg as the third son of one of the Burgermeesters, Hendrik knew he was never going to inherit his fathers' fortune nor his place on the Burgermeester council. His place, as so many other sons of nobility was to make his fortunes in setting up trade routes with the merchant marine and with his wealth by a place on the council or get his place by gaining honor on the fields of battle. Hendrik chose the latter and, with the help of his father, raised his Regiment: Vermeulens Flag Compagny.
The compagny is for hire to the lords of Marienburg and to anyone else needing a sword and a harquebus.
Equipment: Metoeric Iron, Great Weapon.

Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
Well the Captain in my army is somewhat of a combo character. He joins an Arch Lector and 2 Wizards. The Captain is built as so:
Full Plate Armour
Sword of Battle
Aldred's Casket of Sorcery
I took this fella to Heat 2 of the UK GT and was the only Empire player to qualify. He was brilliant at flying behind things (cover and units) and stealing spells, especially the raise spells from low level Vampires and Flickering Flames of Tzeentch from those poxy small Horror units.
So while he might not be great at fighting (he can still hold his own in a fight against a small unit with a total of 6 S4 attacks from him and his mount) he excels at pi$$ing off low level wizards.
Thanks for replying, guys
Here are my "regular" captains. I build for survival, throwing them against enemy hero's and lords to keep them busy for a game
Armour of Meteoric Iron + Icon of Magnus - 100 Points
A good solid leader of infantry, hard to break and hard to kill
Armour of Meteoric Iron + Anything Else - Varies
As above but not so fear resistant.
Dawn Armour + Shiled + Steed + Barding - 101 + Points
Hard to kill, 1+ save with a re-roll. Perfect for leading a unit of knights.
I like the first one, silver, could use something like that against VC..
Captain Barbecue - 150 points
Full plate armour
