Beasts of Chaos
Daemons of Chaos
Orcs & Goblins
Warriors of Chaos
This is my first poll so if it comes out messed up my bad haha.
I was wondering as an empire player, which armies should i watch out for and which armies should be easier to defeat.
The poll looks alright with the exception of a closing date. Typically, it's best to add one of around 21 days, as leaving one out allows people to come and dig them back up in a year's time. But don't worry about that - it's something we all used to do, and I added one for you.
Anyways, I think that all depends on the opponent you're facing and how they run their army. A "death star" WoC force, for example, tends to be pretty easy to beat if you know what you're doing, but some death stars can be tough to bring down with the right generalship and go on to wreak havoc throughout the game.
Likewise, some generals are easier to beat than others, depending on their experience levels, skill at rolling (debatable I know, but some people are just unlucky), the way they use some units and so on.
That said, however, I voted Dwarfs, but then cheated and changed to Skaven as I remembered how annoying some of those units can get (the small, quick ones tend to do by far the most damage). Dwarfs can also be hard to bring down, as their units are tougher than ours and their warmachines are usually better than ours.
Always found Orcs & Goblins hard to beat. Can be quick, fairly strong blocks of infantry, potentially lethal in the magic phase. Luckily they often beat themselves!
I find that very interesting archon, I have read numerous battle reports and have seen WoC clean out the empire. They seem much too strong because they hit so hard. It always seems you need to be really lucky in order to crush them.
Now Dwarfs every battle report I have ever read concerning them, they have lost I honestly see Dwarfs as too weak as they are not very mobile, therefor they could get outflanked so easy and therefor quickly outnumbered, and be destroyed.
The Skaven I have not seen too many but they seem rather balanced. They are rather quick, and field such a huge mass. They have some pretty good weapons which can devastate. So I think Skaven could be a pain in the ass.
Now keep in mind, my experience is battle reports, my army is not yet finished, therefor I have not yet played a battle in the fantasy universe.
"To Triumph without Risk, is to Conquer without Glory!"
Personally, I find bunkering Dwarfs really annoying, as our infantry struggle to supplant them, even when wining combats by decent margins. However, that conclusion was arrived from facing a tournament list that revolves around characters designed to be difficult to kill and units Oath Stones out the rear.
I always get heavily hammered by WE, dryads poppin' out of woods and causing fear tests, Wardancers with those craploads of attacks.
Against WoC i'm learning how to play, taking a bsb to knock out the fear tests and loads of shooting. WoC are tough, but with a good gunline you can kill off a lot while march blocking the warriors, or even redirecting when he takes MoK.
Cannons, handguns and volleyguns make a mockery of their high armor saves.

Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
i agree wood elves post no threat to a gunline army.
And I think WoC or DoC are the hardest because of high str and armour or everything has a ward
If the WoodElves get initiative, I think a WE shooty army will eat up a Empire gunline army
In 5th Edition, when I played the most, I often saw WE players show up with 100 archers spread out thru the map, and generally could eat away Empire armies very quickly. If deployed in units of 8-10 WE, including scouts and waywatchers, yeah, they can totally take out an Empire gunline army.
Though it sounds cliche, I ended up picking VC. Their cheap, replenishing units can contest our superior numbers. Their magic is more plentiful and accessible. Their characters are stronger, tougher and more customizable. They are a tactically easy army to play. Really, I just find that they do a lot of things the empire does (well...execept a whole phase) and that specialization can be killer if you don't focus properly. They don't have all their eggs in a basket but for sure a whole lot and they hurt when you get hit with it. Just got to hit back harder.
i would say dwarfs are because quite a lot of empire armies are horde or gunline and dwarfs are a better gunline then empire and will blow them to piece before they dent the dwarfs
