    a full calvary army?

hi i was thinking about starting empire when a guy from my store said you can make a full calvary army with empire knights as core. first i was wondering if this is true, second if it is not too much trouble if you guys could start me off with a 1000 point list that has knights, pisoleirs and outriders and no infantry. thank you im really exited about this army.

I would suggest including a Steam Tank in this full cav list. I've made a 1500 list that's full cav but does have a Steam Tank, those things are just crazy!

    HEROES:
Captain, Lance, Full Plate Armour, Shield, Warhorse, Barded 78
Wizard, Level 2, Scroll, Warhorse 135
Wizard, Level 2, Scroll, Warhorse 135

    CORE:
    7 Knights, Musician, Standard 185
    7 Knights, Musician, Standard 185
9 Knights, Full Command, Banner of the Daemonslayer 297

    SPECIAL:
    5 Pistoliers 90
    5 Pistoliers 90

    RARE:
    Steam Tank 300

    TOTAL: 1495

This list revolves around one big unit of knights led by a captain and 2 smaller units of knights to cover the flanks. Two units of Pistoliers run up and cause hell, while the Steam Tank is either an awesome anvil or a great killer unit. The big unit has the Banner of the Daemonslayer so that way you can outnumber your opponent with a fear-causing unit.
If you're not big on the Steam Tank idea then here's another list. Maybe that would be a better option, but it's up to you.

    HEROES:
Captain, Lance, Full Plate Armour, Shield, Warhorse, Barded 78
Wizard, Level 2, Scroll, Warhorse 135
Wizard, Level 2, Scroll, Warhorse 135

    CORE:
    6 Knights, Musician, Standard 162
    7 Knights, Musician, Standard 185
9 Knights, Musician, Standard, Banner of the Daemonslayer 297

    SPECIAL:
    5 Pistoliers 90
    5 Pistoliers 90
10 Knights, Inner Circle, Full Command, War Banner 325

    TOTAL: 1497

I've made these lists because I really don't have much to do.

I don't play Empire myself, but my friend runs an absolutely disgusting cavalry list. I don't have the army book on me but it's basically an MSU list focussing on little units of Knight and way too many Pistoliers and Outriders. At the moment, he's still building his Steam Tank, so he hasn't had a chance to use that, but I learned how vile the Arch-lector on Pope-mobile is.
Armies: (Chaos) Space Marines [1250pts], O&G [2250 pts], OK [1000pts]

Templar Grand Master. Give him Laurels of Victory, Enchanted Shield, and then the usual mundane equipment excluding the shield and he's fine. Laurels is nasty and the shield with the full plate and barded steed will give him a 0+ save. Or you could use Kurt Helborg, but he's heaps more expensive.

Don't forget about Knights of the Inner Circle. As you won't be using many of the Empire's standard Special options (Cannons!) you'll have room for a unit or two of these guys.

There aren't differences between knights of the blazing sun and such except for fluff, although knights of the white wolf have great weapons.
