I play, Beastmen, Orcs & Goblins, and Bretts. Today was my first outing against a steam tank, and I just wanted to say, that you should all be ashamed of yourselfs. I took it out with my beastmen. But it took 4 units and 2 rounds of combat to do it.
It looks like someone is having a hard time taking down the STANK. Hmm..perhaps you check out http://us.games-workshop.com/games/w...ng/default.htmOriginally Posted by The Green Knight
Good luck with future encounters!
One needs artillery to bring the thing down (Stone Throwers or Cannons). I'd say it's pretty WAAC to bring the STank against an army that does not have that sort of stuff in their list. (ie. elves, for example. Against Bretonnians, perfectly ok. Their fault if they don't bring a Trebuchet)
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD
And if you get a lucky shot with a Hellcannon that never hurts either!
My friends played a 3000 pt game last week and the Ogre Lord (Greasous? The dude that has all the money) pretty much took the Steam Tank out single handedly in one round of combat.
BTW, what does WAAC mean?
lol its wat i think it is, then its just slang, like thats wack or hes wack, like sayin thats ret@rded <-didnt kno if i can say it or not
