G'day my fine lords and ladies; I hereby present this thread to you all for use in the playing of Empire. This is to be used in whatever way you all seem fit but the idea I have behind this is...
A tactica type thing. All generals are welcome to post here any tips, tactics, unit break downs, do and don't of the armies, army themes, colour schemes, conversions and all list break downs (note - not army lists but maybe a skeleton list used to build off etc)
Well that's the idea, I hope it works. I will be watching these and any abuse of thread or things I decide that are not to be in here will be deleted without warning.
Hello King Ulrik
I hope this is what you are after.
The Empire is my primary army, the area I am working on at the moment is getting the enemy to attack the right unit, when I want them to attack me. This is I think one the real tricks to playing Empire in close combat. Always remember, we win with COMBAT RESOLUTION, not with close combat. Killing the enemy helps but the points will win the day.
We have several advantages here and an Empire player needs to know how to use them. I will most often use one detachment in advance of my parent, it flees when charged, leaving the enemy stranded. The trick is always to position your units in such a position that the other detachment and parent can charge on the next turn. I have ranks they don’t. So I’m up by three too start with.
If I only have one detachment left, then I WANT the parent to be charged. The detachment gets a counter charge and hits first.
This is it in brief.
