    Help with Empire army organization

I have an Empire "army" assembling/assembled/painting now...

    It has:

1 three person command with champion, drummer, standard bearer
    1 Mounted commander
    1 mounted magician
    1 Magician on foot
1 Engineer with a multiple shot handgun and telescope on foot
    1 priest on foot
    1 cannon with crew
    1 mortar with crew
1 hellblaster with crew (not here yet)
    8 religious zealots/fanatics
    33 handgunners
    32 spearmen with shields
    23 teutogens with command
    23 greatswords with command
    8 knights with hammers

So any suggested organizations for this mob?

Any suggestions on further units and development?

I was thinking of some Pistoleers on horseback and a couple of pike squares

    What do you all think?

Oi... Have you got your army book... basically you cant use every body there in one army but you do have two good seperate armies. Basically you have a stock empire army and a cult of Ulric... Teutogen guard can only be used in a cult of Ulric(unless something has changed) but in the Cult of Ulric you cannot use helblasters. you need to read your rule book and army book because I get the impression you havent read them or at least havent put the rules to practical use...

I could better help you If I knw what you were looking for... do you just want 1 army? do you want shooty or cc?

Some Ulrican stuff, some normal Empire stuff...

    Hmm...

Though the Army of Middenland is far from an optimal army, those models would be pretty nice in it.

You have a choice of three lists:

Standard Empire (The army book list)
A list that can do pretty much anything. It can be combat-heavy, shooty, magic-heavy or just about whatever you wish. The only models you won't be able to use are the Teutogen Guard.

    Cult of Ulric
A no-nonsense "Bash their heads" melee army. No conventional magic, but priests can put up some sort of magical offense if given the right kit, and certainly defend the army from enemy magic.
    Main features include:
    very cheap infantry with Ws4,
cheaper Knights of the White Wolf,
priests as unit champions (so you can have way more characters than normally allowed)
Crush The Weak special rule on all characters (units led by characters hate any unit with low leadership)
powerful priestly magic (powerful as in better than normal priest magic. It still isn't a match for wizard magic. Priests have some fighting capability and can boost troops' Leadership, however)

    Army of Middenland
Some of the Empire magic and gunpowder combined with some of the Ulrican melee prowess. Combat-oriented list with access to some gunpowder. I would rate Cult of Ulric with mercenary Cannons and normal Empire above this list, but that is personal opinion.

In addition, links to some threads discussing the Army of Middenland and Cult of Ulric, mainly centering around Wolf_Packs' attempt to create armies for the two lists.

Well, that SHOULD be enough infomation, at least on the alternative lists ^^
Use Light, Beasts, Metal instead of Heavens
NecroLords: Use at least one Death Mage
    Brets: Use Peasants&Damsels
    Skaven: Don't use Skryre SAD

    Perfect!

    Thanks!

That is exactly what I needed to start.

I haven't played a game or read the rules much beyond a quick read but the Cult of Ulric seems to be a good idea given what you say above.

Off to the links and my rulebooks!
