What Hero do you tend not to take to battle?
For me... its simple, Master Engineer. He does nothing. His special rules aren't even that great.

The Master Engineer is virtually useless in smaller games, he takes up valuable hero slots, that could be used for nice combat boosts, or magic defence.
In all honesty I've taken the Engineer way more times than I've used the Warrior Priest. Im an artillery heavy player, and I find that the Priest is very useless. Even in battles against UD and Daemons, for nearly 100 pts, I can put my points elsewhere.
The Master Engeneer is definitly the one that I never take to battle. He's only good at re-rolling 1 misfire dice and only on 1 warmachine. His LD is way too low to make him usable as a leadership booster, his BS is not even better than a Marksman and the weapons he can carry can be carried by a Marksman too...
The only time I see him in a list is when it's a Nuln themed list or a gunline army list, even then he more than likely take the space of a Battle Wizard or a Captain and is there for fluff reasons.
The Captain and the Elector Count are the best heroes we can get and they are relatively cheap for their efficiency. The Warrior Priest also have it's use against magic heavy armies or anything that is pro-chaos, they are a nice mix of anti-magic and combat prowess.
i personally never use the master engineer. to me he's justuseless
I pretty much never use warrior priests allthough i do own one. I don't find them that useful, a captain kicks him in combat, and a wizard's better for magic defence...... Some may say they appreciate the compromise, but i don't.
I agree with Crispin, I don't use my Priest much because he sucks at both things. The only thing I'd use him for is if I ever wanted to spitefully noob-smack a player and stick Van-Horsts on him and stick him in a unit. That might kill a character or two, but it's nothing that a Captain or Wizard couldn't fix. Or even a master-engineer with a long-rifle...
I havent got an army yet but I have no intention of ever using a master engineer. Since my only opponent is tomb kings a warrior priest can blow the **** out of an entire unit. Also healing hand seems brilliant. He just has so much better abilities than the engineer and is a better warrior.

I love my warrior priest, currently i have an arch lector, priest, captain and battle wizard, I have 6 DD, have 5 bound spels, and 2 regular spells i can cast a turn, all with 1 wizard. I find the prayers quite useful, but they are only ever cast if u can dihs out enough magic, i find unbreakable very useful especially agaisnt TK, VC, OK or chariot armies. With the arch lector, im dissapointed that he has only WS4, 2 attacks, but u cna maximise this with mace of helstrum making his 1 attack very good, and besides he hates everything so he can re-roll his rol to hit making it very likely he will hit and wound with his weapon (pisses off chariot users, or uber-vampire lord I come across) hehe.
