I had the idea to make an army themed around the British army that fought against Napoleon.
The build up of the army would be hand gunners and spearmen in equal portions, pistoliers for dragoons, cannons for cannons, etc.
i have a few questions:
1. am i mad, or is it a good idea
2. how easy do you reckon it would be to convert the regular spearmen models
3. what should i use for my heavy combat cavalry(i was thinking DoW havy cavalry w/out barding) it would not fit the period to have barded steeds, and i dont thing there are any rares for empire that fit, except maybe 1 volley gun
4. how could i represent the elite riflemen? The only thing i came up with was a few engineers w/repeater handguns or hochlands, but that seems a bit costly, and would only be viable in games of 3k or more
Sounds like a pretty cool idea to me. Look at the praetorians if you want some very british models (might be a bit small though)
