    Help on defeating many Orcs/Goblins

    Hey guys,
    Im looking for help on a scenario v.s orc and goblin army. I use Empire. Its a last stand battle.


    It contains:

    {8} Handgunners
    {8} Spearmen
    {1} Cannon + Crew
    {20} Nights of the Panther
    {1} Panther Grandmaster
    {8} Free Company
    {20} Swordsmen

    Please dont edit my army as I cannot get my hands on models at the moment but give me advice if you can on how to use this army to my advantage against the outnumbering orcs and goblins.:shifty:

    All help is appreciated.

    I am yet to play a game of fantasy but that army looks like it has very little tactics associated with it. Simply shoot big things with the cannon, nasty things with the handgunners and take on everything else with the knights. Just look like you charge your knights in and hope they butcher everything.

    I'm wondering is 2 squads (12 and better (for flanking/maneuverability) or one big squad of 20 better (for grandmaster bonuses).

    why would a captain and a pegasus disrupt their magic?, Unless you mean mage killer then fare enough, Do you not have anymore characters at all?

    well you have almost nothing to work with as you only have 8 spearmen, 8 handgunners and 8 free company the handgunners and free companie should be detachments and the spearmen are useless for the nights I'd run 9 innercircle with GM 1 unit of 6 and a unit of 5.

    you need more men because the only unit you have is the unit of knights and swordsmen which could easily be countered i would suggest getting 8 more spearmen if at all possible
    for you army as i already said you can't use the gm right now so you 'll need a captain preferabley on foot and put him with your swordsmen and a wizard for some magic defense
    also make two small units out of your knights preferably 6
