What do you guys think of these troops? At first i didnt like the idea, maniacs with no order or discipline, but gradually i began to like them more and more. Their flails and 2 attacks make them something to be feared in combat, and although they dont have a save, their T4 so against some opponents(elves and such) wounding would be difficult. They get shredded by missle fire im guessing though. Also, when you do use them,do you use them as kind of a throwaway unit to tie up an opponents heavy cavalry or chosen warriors,or try to use them in a combat role, taking on opponents that they have a chance of not dying horribly to?
This is not good advice for regular games but when playing Warhammer Siege, positioning them in the Gatehouse or in the mountain pass will just bring your enemy to a standstill until you can win.
They are also vital against undead or Chaos where psychology plays a big role. It helps to halve a sturdy regiment you know will not break.

Flagelants and greatswords are probaly the two most lasting units the empire army, t4 makes it so they dont really get shreded by missle fire, and flails make them good at defending or attacking immune to psychology and unbreakable are great to, they are expensive but a few of them can hold up units for a long time if they dont break them first.
Try using then a a centre, as they can hold for at least 2 combats, probaly the hold game. Tie up the emeny (halting their advance) and bring other units (knights) in the side. Bit expensive but VERY tough. Takes years to get past. Main prob. is if you are playing under 2000 and want a helblaster.
Never drink more than 2 Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters unless you are a thirty-ton Mega Elephant with brocal pheomonia!
