Was considering using this on my Arch lector recently as going down to one attack isn't really going to be losing much. The plus side is that because of hatred he re-rolls to hit with his one attack and then could kill ANYTHING at strength 10 and d6 wounds. He could be a nightmare!
Anyone else use this setup, and if so how has it done?
Its a good combo with archlector being on the war alter give him the mace, doomfire ring or orb of thunder(depending on who i am playing) with heavy armour and shield for protection
No need to worry about a ward save cause of the war alter and the itself is a mean monster against units being ah chariot and all.
Against an enemy character:
You have a 75% chance to hit.
An 83% chance to wound,
Then assuming a 5+ ward save a 67% chance to get through that.
So you have a 41% chance to wound and against a lord you end up having a 28% chance to kill him outright.
Thats not bad really. Odds are good you'll be alive to try it again next combat round as well.
Its still a lot of points though.
Have fun with it.
I've never used it because well I hate saccing attacks for a not so definite thing.
