    Empire handguns

    Hello all,

    is it just me, or has the Empire handgun been mysteriously removed and replaced with a standard handgun?

    the empire handgun used to get +1d6" to its range in turn 1.

    This rule seems to have disappeared?

    Only mentioning, because the empire handgun is mentioned in the fluff of the new dwarf book, but now seems to have dissapeared without trace!!

    U r correct, it has disapeared, the emp[ire handgun is now a normal handgun. no more d6+1, just 24".

    Actually I’d say the dwarf handgun is significantly worse off. Right now we just get a boost to hit (ie slightly higher BS) we used to have +1 to hit at short range and we had move and shoot on a black powder weapon no less!

    We lost at least half of our clever thunderer tactics with the 6.5/7th edition update, the turn and face against enemy units like tomb scorpions and gorgers. being able to move and then shoot our handguns at enemies within 15" (from the starting point) with virtually no shooting mods (hitting on basic BS)

    People seem to think we dwarves did nothing but gain from our 7th edition book. You’d be surprised on just how much we actually did loose.... you just don't see it due to dwarf players dodging the poorer stuff :sleep:
