So I was wondering if it is possible for empire armies to use a giant as a DOW choice...and if so could someone point me to an online copy of the rules?
Also is it worth it at all? it seems like the have potential to wreak massive havoc but ive never used one before....any thoughts?
thanks a lot, i had searched the US site but wasnt able to find them...now, for my 2nd question, are giants worth it in an empire army?
I really don't think so. There are so many varied units in the Empire Army, why would you bother with a giant when you can take flagenllants, hellblasters and the rocket battery?
but coulndt you take all 3? flaggelents as a core, a giant as a rare and a rocket as a rare?
you only get 1 flaggie unit as core. Irrespective of how many priests you have.
I just don't think that a giant really suits an Empire Army and I think there are enough things in the Army book to play with.
But if you want to have a giant, knock yourself out champ. There is nothing illegal or cheesy about it.
i don't think it's very fluffy however, but for most people fluff can go hang if they can win
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Just remember one thing gaints are going to be the main target for a round of shooting. I'm not going to let a gaint get near my troops and it being 205 point it is really a nice target.
I have never used a giant, but have killed many.
as a large target with no armour save, the giant can be easily killed with volume of shooting.
I have seen giants killed with a barage of STR 2 attacks.
Yes they needed 6`s to wound, but there were 15 hits so it was goodnight giant.
If they make it to combat they are dangerous, but in my experience they very rarely make it across the table!!
