I want to "shade" it a bit more than it is but I want to keep the black skin. The only thing that I can think of is to use a mixture of Choas Black and Fortress Grey and slowly pull it out.
Does anyone have any other ideas that might be better?

Hi all,

Once again old BobaHat has embarked on another crazy endeavour. This time it is....

ATTILANS

That's right! The furry horse-masters are my latest project. All you gits out there who say they aren't cool just don't get it. :P

So here is a first look at some of my new conversions:

The first two Guardsmen. I have used Steel Legion minis (they have been painted before and I've stripped most of the paint) with Chaos Marauder horsemen heads and lots of green stuff. The lasguns have also been lengthened and need a bit more work but you get the idea:

And here is my commander converted from the Ar Ulric mini. He has been given a classic attilan sergeant bolt pistol (slightly modified) and a nice big halberd-looking weapon:

What do you all think?

I am also in need of a good colour scheme for these guys. I'm not sure I'll be going for the blue colour as I think it's a bit too neat for a regiment from a world where they never wash themselves...

This is actualy a copy of a post from my LGC's forums. Ive now decided to keep it up and running here in the public eye on Librarium Online. Ofcourse any C&C will be apreciated.

This first post if a consolidation of about 1 weeks worth of updates. So excuse the bad layout :)

This is what Ive been doing the past few days since I got recrippled due to an operation on my legs again.

Its good practise as I need to get back into the swing of things.
This is an Ultra marine HQ and because I havent a clue what's a good layout for it, Ive decided to magnetise the different arm and weapon layouts for it. It sounds a pain but Ive actualy realy enjoyed it so far.
I have used it as a chance to experiment too, this is the first time Ive painted in sub assemblies, magnetised anything other then a vehicle, and not used washes to shade. So far, so good!

Edit: - FYI the torso isnt complete, the red's needs shading and highlighting and some general touchups too

update

Still not actualy stuck together, but its comming on nicely :D

Update

Here we are. Arms are not finished, but with the base coats you get the idea. Ive got the shots with the other weapons on too. camera isnt in great focus, but it will do for these update shots.

I have a Tau force that I have painted with Citadel GW paints, Enchanted Blue for most of it, but with the minor color being Citadel GW Midnight Blue. Apparently GW just took Midnight Blue out of their lineup.

I am looking for a reasonably near equivalent color in another paint line, say Reaper, or any other line. I don't care about flat/gloss as I Future/flat everything anyway.

Citadel GW Regal Blue doesn't cut it, and I tried mixing my own and that came out horrible.

Please let me know of anything you experts might know of that is close.

Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I was just assembling a new Warbiker squad and I was wondering I should wait to attach the rider until I've painted the bike and rider seperately.

I know I would have to save a clean area to glue the rider to the bike or clean the area that has been painted BEFORE I attach the rider, which can be a bit of a pain in the arse.

However, I was thinking I might get better paint coverage, as well as making it easier to paint the cracks and small areas around the seat/butt of the driver. On the other hand, it might not make that much of a difference since that area is hardly seen.
