I am thinking of adding a fire prism or 2 war walkers, and some vipers. I am getting the battalion box and it comes with some guardians and i'm not sure if I should use those. So if it is terrible tell me because I have not bought anything yet. i hope it is ok, I looked at alot of lists and took what I liked. This is supposed to be mixed and not a infantry swarm so I would like to have the vipers, walkers, fire prism, or a wraithlord.

the general idea is for the wraithguard and banshees to work together attacking in the front as a giant meat blender with the troops in objective guarding and potential tank poppers, the shining spears are a counter charge unit to save the wraithguard or a troops unit and withdraw whilst the unit is still in combat with the other unit and the heavy support is my mobile fire base against heavy troops and vehicles that also acts as a counter charge measure.

But if someone would be able to give me some advice it would be great.

What I'm hoping to build is a competitive 1000 point Eldar army.

I don't have any play style preferences so if you could also mention the tactics that would be helpful.

In this instance my anvil forces are hard enough to take a lot of punishment, while my hammer forces pound on the rear of the enemy army.

Eldrad and Council, the Avatar, and 2 Wraithlords make up the bulk of the anvil force. These would be deployed at the start of the game. Also the 2 DA squads would take up positions in cover to support the anvil and be prepared to take objectives. The Scorpions may be hammer or anvil forces depending on circumstances. If in the Anvil they infiltrate or set up normally.

The Hammers are the reserved jetbikes, the outflanking War Walkers, and the deepstriking Warp Spiders. The Scorpions may become a hammer if needed, in which case they will outflank or infiltrated far ahead.

Using Eldrad I can pretty much redeploy my anvil to where needed. For me this would usually be in the center. From here, objectives are usually close for contesting or taking. While the enemy starts to work on my Anvil forces, my reserve forces will come in from all directions, hopefully stimying the opposition.

I view the most likely possibilities being:

1) Enemy Drops in to take the anvil. My reserves come in and attack from behind.
2) Enemy backs up not wanting to directly confront the anvil forces. Will have to spread out in their rear making my juicy targets for my outflankers and Jetbikes.
3) Enemy is a formidable assault prospect. Anvil moves back and flank forces envelope them.

Apologies to the more experienced players who are sick of seeing lists like this.. But i honestly reckon it'd do ok. The big drawback is the guardians susceptibility to ordnance that ignores cover.

alright so basically the 3 scorpion squads infultrait or out flank depending on my enemy also if i infultrate i might take karandras out of his unit and get a first turn charge on a must kill squad and some how find the points for shadow strike.
The autarch is there as a main tank killer he may go in a jet bike squad then come out later near some tanks so that he doesnt die on the way there. Also the two bike squads are there to take out tanks mainly.
Lastly the night spinner is gonna drop those pie plated weaken big units of infintry for my bikes to finish of. And it will hide since it is my only tank and it is a mounted weapon batter so it can shoot over cover ow and i almost forgot that it can turo boost and contest:mean:

Also i was wondering if it would be better to take guardians instead of the bikes

Here's a build I think could be fun.

Autarch w/ Power Weapon, Fusion Blaster and Banshee Mask

Comes out to exactly 1750 if Army Builder is right.

Just seems like a very fun and strong list to me. The Autarch is a pretty good fighter and can give some tank busting to a Guardian squad. He also let's you Outflank those Walkers to abuse back armor, or Reserve your whole army against Drop Pods etc.

Eldrad tosses out tons of psychic abilities, decent fighter when he has too and screws with Deployment, his most overlooked ability. You can easily bait someone into a flank and than switch your army to the other side, devastating.

The Dragons are for armor hate, two squads gives the list some redundancy, usually an Eldar weakness. The weapons were to shave points, Scatters are great but I had to bite the bullet and take a Cannon, not awful but not preferred.

Storm Guardians are the best Eldar Troops imo. Flamers will do more damage against more armies than Catapults, especially with Doom. The Warlock brings anti-tank in CC and from close range, something an Exarch can't. The unit is also cheaper. EMLs are better than Lances overall because of the flexibility, points saved and the fact you can easily get Meltas for heavy armor.

War Walkers are an uncommon Heavy choice because Prisms and Wraithlords are so favored. I really like Wraithlords but there's the Wraithsight risk in a fast moving army and their lack of speed. Walkers can sit in cover and just drown units in wounds or Outflank and expose rear armor.

The list has some neat tricks with Divitation and Reserves/Scout Moves to make Deployment a headache against any army. 3 Scoring units isn't great but they're well protected and Eldar are great at objective denial. The guns can shoot well because of Guide, good BS, TL or lack of needing to hit.

Again, I don't play Eldar but feel free to C&C the list or just post an impression.
