    Basic Tactics:

    The Spearmen head the front and draw out the opponent's main attacking unit/force. As they get dragged down and beaten, the Witch Elves move in and mop up the squads with fresh numbers. The Crossbows provide some basic fire support to these units.

    The Black Guard move in last to engage extremely tough opponents and bring down large threats.

    The Dark Riders act as an obliquing force, giving the opponent more targets to worry about, drawing focus from one front or the other. The Highborn rides with them, providing extra power with his Magical weapon.

    Unfortunately this match up would be bad even with a strong DE list.

    There's nothing in the list that can hold against a Bret charge (even the black guard). The dark rider units are too big too. I see unit after unit being swept away in successive charges and for this reason I will have to go with the Brets.

    Even with plenty of units to flee charges, DE will die in numbers to the Bret charge, vowing to return and enslave their entire, froofy race.

    Too much hitting power against too little survivability.

    The Dark Elves dont have the numbers (per unit) to hold up against the Knight Charges, and they dont have enough shooting to weaken them before they hit. So the Knights will charge, kill and repeat. Victory to the Brets.

    Going to have to go with the flow here. There's simply not enough staying power or punch in the DE's to stop the Bret charge.

    You'll see those Bret cav units going throw the elves like a hot knife through butter.

    Unfortunately for the DE they just cant stand up enough against the Knights charge. They dont have enough magic/shooting to severely weaken the units either so they will pretty much hit at full strength.

    Bretonnia.

    MSU works well for Dark Elves. Unfortunately, it doesn't do well holding up to charges. The Brets are going to hit the Dark Elves hard and often, and break them along the way. This could get ugly fast.

    Unfortunately the Dark elves do not have the numbers or shooting to with stand the Brets. They could march block and shoot, but I don't think it will be enough, and when those charges hit, they will decimate the DE units.
