Well, I thought I'd go ahead and organize another Votewar, since they are so much darn fun! This one will be done in a Tournament style of play. All the normal Votewar rules apply, with the following additions and modifications:
-Lists will be constructed using 2250 points or less
-Special or named characters will not be permitted.
-Voting will now happen in two parts. First, you pick your winner, like normal. Then, you pick how much you think they will win by by picking one of three options: minor victory, major victory, or massacre! Remember to bold both choices.
-The winner is determined by vote majority like normal, then the average winning amount is calculated, rounded if needed, then that becomes your score for the round. Minor victory is worth 1 point, Major is worth 3, and Massacre! is worth 5.
-Grudge matches are here! Anyone that would like to play someone specific in round 1, may do so, so long as both players agree to it. This may only happen for round 1, however. Please PM any grudge matches that players would like to happen.
-Rounds 2 and after will be seeded matches. That is, you will play a list that has scored roughly as well as your list has. I will keep some amount of randomness in this, and will make sure no-one plays each other twice.
-Maps, table sides and first turn will be used, as will tactics, as per normal VW rules. However, spell lores, tactics and deployment will now be PM'd to me before the battle. Since maps are being used again, wood elf players will need to indicate ASAP where their forest will go.
-The winner will be the person with the most points after 6 rounds, and everyone will get 6 games. Since everyone gets 6 games, it would be great to see as many votes as possible - I'll even throw out some Rep for detailed votes, and for people who stick at it, start to finish (gotta love bribes )
-Spells will also be back, so make sure you tell me what lore you wish to use somehow. If I'm not informed within 24 hours, I'll pick a lore myself, or use the same as from last game. Also a reminder the Bret players to tell me if not praying.
-Matchups will be posted 24 hours prior to the match. This is the 24 hours players have to submit their spells, tactics, wood elf forest and Bret prayers.
-The normal prcedure of posting matches midnight GMT won't be possible, since I cannot access the website from work. Instead, matches will be posted ~8pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (Aus time is GMT + 10 hours), so we're talking 10am GMT.
-The VW will start in about 3 weeks from today. Get your lists in to me as soon as you can. If the numbers are uneven, I'll withdraw/enter myself, to ensure there are even numbers, and SEED lists aren't needed.
Righty o. Bellow I will put who has entered so far, updating it as we go along:
-The Paint Monkey
GRUDGE MATCH: DavidVC04 vs Phoenix
Any questions or suggestions, put them in this thread too

*pulls out Master-plan-scrutiniser-ometer*
One question I have is how would you plan to keep interest? Take note of my VW, and all the 40K ones to date. The interest has dropped significantly as time wore on.
Otherwise, I'm in. Now, to get thinking about a list *gets to work*
i'll be up for it.
the dwarfs of kazzad dolvir have grudges to avenge!
spambot kill tally: 79
[16:19] <@Alzer> Arky's right though
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.
[00:01] <+zubus> i love you, ya skirt wearin nothern monkey! ^_^
Ok, AFG, in answers to your questions:
-Vote how you like in the end. I wouldn't discount a vote wherever it is, even it isn't in bold (i dont wanna scare off the voters), so how you would like to is cool. I'd still like to see reasoning though.
-I thought about the points system a bit, and 1,3,5 seemed pretty good. 1 point for just winning it, 5 for an all out blood bath. In the end, it'll work whatever we use i think.
-I'll annouce if a match happens to be a grudge match somewhere, don't worry I'll have to create another thread that ill act as the 'score board' anyway, so that's a good place to start.
-To keep 2 lists facing each other twice, I keep rolling dice until that happens I'll figure it out. The matches will be seeded, but there's always going to be a limit.
-Well, if anyone else has input about the tactics thing, I'd be good to hear. Basicly, wjat I wanted, was scenary, table sides, and first turn, to potentionaly affect a vote, since it's a tournament setting, but specific tactics should be left upto voters. Basicly, you see two lists, the table, so who's gonna win it? I think it'll work OK, but as I said, any other feedback here would be great.
-In a public forum setting, it's pretty hard to keep people interest to the very end of any votewar - I can't exactly offer candy now, can I? So, hopefuly the fact that everyone keeps playing right to the end is enough, to wanna keep checking back and see how they did...then maybe they can vote while they're at it
-Hmmmm, a 2500 point VW. I picked 2250 because that's what my local tournys are run at. Anyone else have suggestions here?
Cheers AFG for the feedback
Good to see a couple of players!

Here's to being the only one that doesn't know what army to use
Hmm, I think I'll just throw tactics in, for 2 reasons. Firstly it's a tournament, and second, the last VW had no tactics, so I may as well mix it up. Should be fun, and help keep people involced to the end (with a bit of luck).
I don't know about only allowing 24 hours to vote. I think I'd rather allow the normal 3 days, but then get the next round up within 24 hours. It's a little harder when 3 days pass, and the next match is in a week.
Time will tell
And AFG, I don't know what army I'd use either...maybe that Goblin horde that downed my Daemon list, ey?
