    The shooting probably won't affect me too much, since most of my army is either highly resistant or immune to panic, and have at least a 4+ save, so I just need to avoid getting outmaneuvered, and force my way into close combat as quickly as possible. The block troops of my army are going to deploy away from forests (if possible), with the hellcannon hid behind them, and my quick units (chariots, cavalry, and ogres) set on the flanks. My characters, besides the Lord in the chariot, will all go in the units of block troops on foot. I have faith in the power of my units to win close combat without much help, thanks to my opponent's lack of static combat resolution, so I just need to press forward, while my quick units guarding my flanks from his cavalry. My knights should be able to destroy anything they come across, as long as they aren't shot to death, so I'll screen them with marauder horsemen. I'll use my superior magic power to harass their characters and cavalry, while my hellcannon takes out waywatchers and dryads. Without any serious threats in close combat, all I have to do is survive a few shooting phases, and I'll be fine.

    I think mynameisgrax, as although the wood elves will dominate shooting, I don't think they will do enough damage before the fast movers hit them, also with the chaos dominating in both magic and combat, I don't think the wood elves will be able to win this.

    I don't see the Wood Elves having any problem outmaneuvering the Chaos Warriors, and I see the shooting dropping both fast cavalry and the hounds quickly. With multiple fliers to endlessly entertain the Khorne knights, I just see them wearing them down enough with shooting, and launching timely counter assaults. The Chaos list does have a slight edge in the magic phase, but not enough of one I think to warrant a victory hear.DavidWC09

    I agree with Esco.
    Although the chaos will get some spells through, I do not think this will be game changing.
    The WE have the units to bait the khorne knights, and the combat to pack a punch, shooting all the while.
    DavidWC09 has the slight upper hand I think.

    The Wood elves' ability to out maneuver the chaos forces and pick their fights AFTER shooting them down gives these guys the advantage. Magic is weak in both armies, and won't affect the battle very much. Giving this one to DavidWC09

    DavidWc04 has the advantage. As said before, they can maneuver around and avoid close combat for the majority of the battle.

    The complete LACK of trees makes the WElfs not as powerful. Yeah they're fast, but dare I say that Chaos Ogres were a good pick? I hate games like this, because it comes down to, can David roll 6s to wound and can mynameisgrax not roll 1s and some times 2s to wound. Sorry to say, but the lack of cover for the Welfs and no real counter to the Ogres AND warriors. He just won't kill enough of them before he gets engaged.

    Going with mynameisgrax for this one. WE need the trees and Im not seeing any. Plus once the WE get stuck in CC its all over. I dont see the elves dancing enough and bringing enough to stop CC from happening.

    DavidWC09 For me even without the trees the only hammers here are the ogres and knights.

    The Ogres will not last long against an army with 60 shoots in it.
    The knights can easily bated and with 20 killing blow shots from the WW and 8 Wardancers with Killing blow will not last long. Even more so if they are baited by the warhawks and glade riders.
    The warriors can be avoided and the naked marauders will not last long against 60 WE bowmen and half points from the hellcannon should be an easy task too
    From there is is just a case of maneuvering into position to kill off the rest.
