    Repeater Bolt Thrower
    Repeater Bolt Thrower

    Deployment
Deploy against the back edge to give an extra turn or two of ranged killing.
    SPHINX
    Archmage, BSB w/ archers (12x2+2)
    RBT
    Seaguard w/ (6x4)
    RBT
    HighMage w/ PGs (5x2+1)
    ShadowMage w/ SMs (6x2)
The BSB will use the sphinx until he gets HKB and then will move to the LSG.
Initially I’ll pick a unit, weaken with magic and pincushion it. Miasma can slow one unit of bulls while I take out the other – unit with butcher is priority target to give magical domination. CoAA will ensure I hit. I should be able to get at least one Enfeebling/Dwellers combo off to ruin the bulls, plus Pit or Pendulum should do good damage. One dwellers use should ruin the Gnoblar unit.
Once they get close LSG will reform as 6x4 and I will aim to get the charge on the bulls when they get close to minimise impact casualties, and then use hexes and augments to negate their high S/T.
Annulian Crystal + Drain Magic (I’ll chuck at least 1 dice at this per turn) will make it harder for him to do much more than counter my RIP spells.

    Punching Gnoblar

Yeah HE have this one...if it weren't battle for the pass things would be different (14-18 Bulls charging turn 2?) However with POS and Pendulum, PG's large units will be much less impressive, epsecially when up against Phoenix Guard and Swordmasters (oh dear, I fell into my own stereotype of voting for High Elves because they have swordmasters...at least the BSB isn't called Althran).

Battle for the Pass. Guns and Bows vs Armour-less dudes. Enfeeble + Hoeth Dwellers awesome. High Elves.

plus Pit or Pendulum should do good damage.
Your shadow mage has Miasma, Enfeeble, and Mindrazor.

With enough luck, magic really could dominate this game. The elves have to many options, casting Mindrazor will make some tough st8 asf elves, or some Enfeebling foe with Dwellers will seriously hurt those multi-wound ogres. Add to that a throne to prevent most miscasts, and you have a nasty magic combination..

I'm not to sold on the Phoenix guard or sword masters going much, in hand to hand combat, there unit size is just to small to do some real damage to the Ogres.

But without knowing for sure what the ogres plan to do, I would say this game goes to the High Elves

Yup, if this wasn't the long haul across to them, it might have been different. As it is though, HE should take this one easily.

High Elves . Having the war machines and archers which can fire while the army waits for combat is a big advantage. Magic will play a big role here as well. It might be a close call once in combat but i think the HE will still take it

Hmmm...looks like the elves got the wrong spells...got dwellers, but...really needed to get pit of shades instead. About the best spell they got is mindrazor...if the ogres just concentrate on dispeling dwellers and the mindrazor, things will go extremely well for them. I just don't see the elves doing that much damage to those ogre konga lines in the time it'll take them to get across the board, and once they do...ouch time!

Dwellers is potentially MORE effective, due to Enfeeble.

When the Ogres arrive they can splat a unit or two, but then they get charged by another that could have S9!

Easier said than done, HE have a level 4 who get irresistable on any double role, makes it rather difficult to despell.
