Lost Court of Maldred of Mousillion
Paladin (Joins questing knights, 3x3 formation)
Virtue of Duty
Paladin (Joins unit of Knights of the Realm- A, 4x4 formation)
Paladin (Joins unit of Knights of the Realm- B, 4x4 formation)
8x Knights of the Realm- A
8x Knights of the Realm- B
5x Questing Knights
The plan is to...
-Use the QK for any high priority threats; Ogres, Giants, or anything heavily armored.
-KotR engage in combat as soon as possible to avoid enemy archery or war machines
-FT will target flanking units and hopfully NOT MISS EVERY SHOT! *grumbles*
I sacrificed magic for close combat punch, I hope to be able to muscle my way to a win.
WE Noble with Hail of Doom Arrows, Great weapon ,light armour and helm of the hunt.
144p (might be a little off there to)
7 Dryads and 1 Branch nymph (champion)
6 Glade Riders
5 Wardancers and 1 Champion
Total – 998pts
tactics for the list...
1st one: Against rank and file armies I would use my sheer number of bows and mobility to out-shoot and out-manouver the enemy.
The Dryads and Wardancers hit em where it hurts and my Glade Riders/Scouts pick out key positions and warmachines.
2nd one: Against skirmish/fast armies I would mostly use my dryads and Dancers to hit them hard and keep them off my Glade Guards. The Scouts and Riders work as march-blockers (ok, not against skirmish armies) and try to what they are good at.
I believe the Brettonians just have the edge here. The Wood elves are going to have a really hard time punching through the armour of these knights. The trebuchet seals their doom

I think if the brets charge the elves they don't stand a chance
Lost Court of Maldred of Mousillion: 2 Night Stalkers: 0
The brettonians have too much armor for the WE to handle. although the scouts and dryads might give them hell with their maneuverability.

Basically what has been said already, the knights armour is going to give the elves hell and once the bretonnians charge, its all over. My vote is for the Bretonnians.

I wouldn't be surprised if the brettonians fail to lose a single model the woodelves simply don't have any thing to stop them.
On the other hand terrain could scuper the brettonian plans of a glorious charge but all things being equal.....

I don't really think the Brets need my vote for the mission at this point.
However, with enough terrain in the board they could indeed end up losing since they wouldn't be able to charge anything.
These missions really need a random terrain generator option.
Fluffwise I'l have to vote for the wood elves, as I feel that taking a Field Trebuchet should also include a unit of some sort of peasants(to transport the Trebuchet around and assemble it ect.)

New 40K missions here.
Only with enough terrain the WE would have a chance winning a manoeuver battle for there's just too much armour to pierce.
I'll give my vote to the Brets. Chances are in their favour.

Ha! I didn't even know that this had started.
Hmm... Probably wouldn't stand a chance in this one. My army is really not made to face massed heavy cavalry.
