If I were to give an explanation to how this list works, this is how it would go:
The Gyrocopter is used for march blocking/war machine hunting, while the the two shooting units soften up the infantry. The warrior unit is there to hold other units up, while the 2 other combat oriented units are there for smashing.
This is a close one. Although in the end i see the dwarves winning, simply due to the fact that they have many ranged weapons. And lets not forget their secret weapon, SLAYERS!!! Those guys could easily wipe out a unit on their own. My Vote goes to the Dwarves.

I've got to go with the Lizardmen here. Saurus warriors are both more dangerous and braver(due to Cold Blooded) than Dwarves and so they will be winning the hth clashes.
While the Slayers are dangerous, we are assuming equal skill on behalf of the players, so the Lizardmans greater mobility will see the slayers ranged up against either Saurus or skinks, while the Kroxigors crush Dwarf warriors.
The Dwarf superiority in ranged combat is not that great, particularly when ranged against Saurus durability.

New 40K missions here.
I think the salamanders could be the deciding factor in this battle. The potential for 20 st3 shooting attacks a turn could land the dwarves in trouble. I am giving it to the lizardmen for that and the fact that they are faster.

Lizardmen magic will be ineffective against those 4 Dwarven DD.
Slayers are dangerous but they will die fast to Salamanders and Skinks. Salamanders just fire a lot of shots (I believe max 10 S3 flaming shots per Salamander at a good range) and Skinks have S3 poisonous attacks against no armour = dead Slayers.
The Terradons will go after the BT, but can be countered by the Gyrocopter. Which would prevent hte Gyrocopter to march-block the Saurus.
In the end the Saurus and Kroxigor can get the charge off on the Warrior, Quarrelers and Hammerers. Depending in which shape the Saurus make it they will be able to match the Warriors and Hammerers. The Krox can either get a flank charge off or charge the Quarrelers. Whatever the Krox do they will butcher the Dwarfs with their s7.
Depending on the shape of the Saurus and how fast the Slayers are dealt with (if fast enough the Salamanders can help the rest the Saurus) the Lizardmen will win, but it'll be very close either way. I withhold my vote for now.

- Ginger, you forgot Grey's vote...-
I say the lizards will win due to the bolt thrower being taken out by the terradons despite the gyrocopter. Then the salamaders will squish the slayers because of the multitude of possilbe attacks and the slayers vulnerability to that while the saurus engage the quarrelers hammerers or warriors or a combination thereof, the kroxigors will help finish one of them off quickly while the salamanders start to shoot the next unit then the kroxigors will charge them and the saurus probabely won't get there in time but that should to it anyway. Not to mention the skinks whitteling down things or shortening the slayers lifespan by aiding the salamanders or tying up a dward unit or whatever. Its very, very unlikey that the priest will get a spell of but if it does, that'd help too.
