    ok here are some tactics and idea I would try to employ against this army

    The skaven have no fast units like eagles which can bait me on turn one. This means that I can use my hounds to try to stop any baiting that would have me running off to the side and showing my flanks. I can use them to 'streamline' the army and smash the skaven lines.

    A combined charge from a unit of knights and a chariot would have no trouble tearing through a unit of clanrats. The characters are there for added punch as well.

    Warp lightning does not concern me as I boast an impressive 10 DD.

    ironically I may be able to do some frenzy baiting of my own. I have fast cavalry and warhounds which could take those plague censor bearers and plague monks out the game for a couple of turns.

    Jezzails are great when shooting at high armoured stuff like my knights. I will try to screen them using the warhounds, jezzails are much less effective when shooting at those as they aren't accurate at the best of times. If he decides to shoot my giant with the jezzails then they are not trying to shoot my knights which are the part of the army I want to keep intact.

    When I smash through the skaven lines I feel the skaven are on the backfoot and the forces of Chaos will go forward to victory!

    those knight units would punch straight through the skaven, just by sheer kills and CR.
    The skaven dont have enough magic to get past the defense, so not much worry there.
    The chariots and Giant would pack a punch too as support fot the knights.
    Chaos Army o' DOOM!!! has this for me

    hmmm, given the map, im thinking this over a bit, although im sticking with my initial vote for now...

    Skaven magic will be negated by the Chaos DD. The Chaos Army will steamroll the Skaven in CC and the Skaven shooting won't be able to do enough damage to tilt the tide in this one.

    Chaos Army O' DOOM!!! wins it.

    Ok well, I agree with everyone so far. I think that the Chaos will be able to dispell Scaven magic. Once in CC I think that those knights will shine (shine with the ugly light of darkness, yet shine they will).

    I'm going with Skaven on this one. Rats shoot, rats flee, rats counter charge. In my experience, superior numbers can go a long way.

    I vote for Chaos Army O'Doom here. It has sufficient magic defense to weather the magical storm, and the skaven army doesn't have enough shooting to do it in entirely before CC.

    And the Chaos forces will win in CC.

    well it may be a chaos horde on autopilot but it has the definite advantage in this battle. its faster, better armoured and the skaven lack anything to crush the momentum. the immense dispel pool renders magic redundant in this battle so ill put me vote in for ze point and click Chaos Army O' DOOM!!!

    Does nobody other than David think that the chaos will be just completely overwhelmed in CC? Sure, the Skaven magic and shooting will not be enough to bring the chaos army down, but it will be able to reduce it somewhat, leaving the chaos outnumbered 2-1 or worse in CC. Given how many times I've seen a superior foe dragged down by pure numbers, I'm not entirely convinced that the Chaos will have as easy a time with this as is being suggested.
