    Best pound for pound model

I have been reading alot in the forums and read about alot of death stars, units that always seem to go into battle, ultimate lords etc

But what is the best value for money model / unit in the game

I mean points cost vs effectiveness what would you say is the best character/unit/monster or war machine out there

Hmmn... Best warmachine is hands down yhe empire mortar. Best unit is probably the chaos warrior, although there is stiff competition there. Best character... Dunno... Maybe the reverse ward save dark elf lord? He's really only vulnerable to one thing, which is the lore of metal, and how often do you see that?

What I meant was is a Chaos Warrior for his points cost as good as say the equivalent points in say GW weilding Marauders, I think you could possibly get a 3 - 1 ratio

maybe anything that you would love to bring even if it's point costs would go up.

Hellpit abomination sounds like a good deal to me. Hydra aswell and the Organ gun or Mortar.

pretty hard to determine though, cus it depends on the metagame i guess.

If simply going off of point cost verse general effectiveness I would say the following.

    Best Lord: fateweaver

Best Hero: skulltaker or wight king

    Best infantry: marauders or bloodletters

    Best skirmish: flamers of tneeztch

    Best monstrous infantry: treekin

    best cavalry: chaos knights

best monstrous cavalry: not sure not many used in may area

    best war machine: empire mortar

    best monster: hydra or salamanders

I'd say for the points a night goblin fanatic is probably has the best damage potential.

Sorry guys, hate to break it to ya, but the Warp Lightning Cannon is easy the best pound for pound war machine in the game. It's debatably the hardest hitting, considering it has a template, and it's a steal for the cost.

I second this. One Warp Lightning Cannon, 90 points, has taken out two Hydras and a Black Dragon in one game for me. Now I'm not sure how much these cost, but I know they cost a lot, and when I told my opponent the cannon cost only 90 points he raged and left the shop. XD

    ~shrug~

Nothing a great cannon couldn't do, and yet I rate the mortar higher. Maybe killing 23 elves in one shot last weekend has something to do with that?

Definitely in the WLC's camp for best war machine. That thing is an absolute terror.
