Wow....just wow thanks so much. This is perfect . I don't know how to thank you The Private message was a nice touch too, letting me know it was done. Perfect service, and you caught everything I said even though I didn't go into great detail. Thank you

hey man! very nice idea. i'm really bad at thinking about fluff myself so let me give this a try =P

fluff for my warriors of chaos warband!
The army has a bit of a lava theme, the armour looks like lava is flowing on it ( just press my sig link if you want to see it yourself) and instead of the usual warhounds i use "lavalizards" (red painted coldones)
It's a warriors heavy army, so almost everything in it is wearing chaos armour and i have even modelled my spawns with armour plates. my own idea here was that they deal alot with the choas dwarfes who provide them with magical enchanted armour ( the lava and stuff) and with the lavalizards who live near them. but do what ever you want with this .
And last but not least i would like some fluff for my lord, the army is mostly dedicated to khorne but at the head of the warband is the tzeentch sorcerer ( and soon to be demonprince) Tzerack, my idea here was that the sorcerer mind controls warriors that he bumps into and is building his own army this way. but that is just my thought, you can do what ever you want.
you have full artistic freedom!

That should give you some background on the army, hit me with your fluffyness!

Archmage Lecai, you flatter me. I'm glad to have been able to help- and that goes for everyone who I've written pieces for.
Vidrian, I looked through not only the link that you had given me, but also the link to your army list. It seems that you play against WoodElves and Beastmen quite frequently, and I also used your collection of models for inspiration. I know that you mentioned volcanoes as an ingredient to your fluff, but I did take a little bit of dramatic liberty with that. I think that it might make your army stand out as being far different from anything else on the battlefield.

Quote:
Tzerack the Gatherer
and the
Legion of the Eternal Flame
In the year 1477 by the Imperial calendar a scourge the likes of none before it descended upon Athel Loren like a comet. Forests burned at it’s passing, and the scattered tribes of beastmen were butchered or brought under it’s control. At it’s fore, the wild warrior-mage Tzerack the Gatherer, and behind him, his horde of deathless warriors in their curseforged armor.

Tzerack had been largely unknown until a few years prior. Some said that he was an almost ancient figure, a proud warrior who had fallen under the sway of Tzeentch. Others say that he was just a young man, exiled from his marauder tribe or abandoning them to strike out on his own. No matter his origins, all that is certain about Tzerack is his drive to plunder several magical items of great power. Some claim that if he does so, he will ascend to daemonhood, although there are a very few who claim that he would become a second ‘EverChosen’.

Tzerack wandered the wastes of chaos seeking out adventurous or blood thirsty men and youths. His army began as a ragtag warband of reckless youths and frenzied warriors from several different tribes. With this force, he launched a more extensive campaign through the wastes, subjugating entire tribes. Those tribes who did not kneel, he engaged in bloody battles. Always, he would challenge the tribe’s chieftain to single combat, cutting the man down with an enchanted blade which walked through flesh and armor as if it were flax. No sooner would the chieftain’s head fall to the bloody snow, then the enemy tribe would be on its knees before him, bowing to his power- or the power of his enchanted sword.

Indeed, Tzerack’s blade was the first item that he had been led to by the great Changer. With it, he could control the ebb and flow of the winds of magic, and hack a man in two with little more than a flick of his wrist. Through it, it was rumored that Tzerack could subtly control the wills of men, bending them to his command more easily. With his natural leadership bolstered by these unnatural means, Tzerack’s warband grew from a handful of reckless warriors, to a seething tide of organized northmen.

With his army ready, Tzerack moved southward to find his next prize. He journeyed down into the deserts of the Chaos Dwarves, master artisans capable of binding the raw essence of a daemon into a weapon, in return for their very existence- slowly turning to stone as they worked their dark magic. Outside the gates to the city, Tzerack demanded that they arm his host, that he may further the will of Tzeentch. The vainglorious dwarves refused to equip Tzerack’s massive horde. It may have been the fault of Tzerach, for he demanded a deadline that even the excellent smiths of the Chaos Dwarves could not meet, without breaking their backs.

Enraged that the dwarves were holding out on him, and that their imperviousness to magic made the enchantment of his blade almost useless, Tzerack stubbornly laid siege to the Dwarven city. The siege lasted for a full year. Inside, the dwarves resisted Tzerack, and outside, the lengthy battle culled the weakling from his ranks. Both forces were badly battered.

Finally, a year and a month to the day, from the start of the siege, the Dwarves agreed to meet Tzerack’s demands. Under a truce, the dwarf smiths hauled out enough armor to encase each warrior of Tzerack’s army. The suits of heavy platemail were exquisite. The metal itself was a deep crimson, warded as proof against tarnish and sworn to hold it’s rich hue for eternity. Gold runes and emblems adorned each plate, right down to the finger joints of each gauntlet. Weapons were hauled out, finely honed edges and gilded handles, also scribed with runes for luck and prowess. Tzerack was pleased with his army’s new wargear. To finish the trade, the dwarves presented Tzerack with a sculpted suit of plate, complete with a flowing robe stitched of the finest fibers of metal. Each strand was etched with infinitely small runes and glyphs of protection, and every plate of armor was covered in the writhing script of Chaos. Two powerful daemons were bound into the armor, their names stripped away by the expert smiths, so that their wisdom and strength were given completely to the armor’s wearer. The final piece was a tall helm, almost crown like, for Tzerach. Apart from the slit for his eyes, there was a third, burning eye in the middle of the tall peak, an eye attuned to the flow of the winds of magic. Tzerack was given a disc of fine marble, bound with a third daemon, upon which he could levitate with ease and rain eldritch doom upon his foes.

Tzerack was pleased with this peace offering from the dwarves. The dwarves did not seem defeated though, as he had expected. Nonetheless, Tzerack had received that which he had come to acquire, and made ready to turn and head for the Old World. In preparation, his warriors donned their armor. Instantly the clever ruse of the Dwarves was exposed. As the warriors donned their helms, the crimson armor shone infernal red, and the proud warriors inside were burnt to ashes. The armor was as cursed as it was blessed. Every warrior, Tzerack included, was immolated and reduced to cinders. But they were not slain. Instead, they lived on in the constant torment of their fiery demise, locked inside the cursed suits of armor for eternity.

Tzerack pulled himself together, rallying his new un-body to his will once again. All around him, his army was in disarray, thrown into panic by the strength of the curse that had beset them. The armor however just as blessed as it was cursed, for the dwarves had only sought revenge with their treachery, but still desired to sate Tzerack’s lust for potent wargear. The armor and its twin daemons increased his power nine fold. Raising his sword aloft, Tzerack commanded the attention of his legion, ordered them to pull together and battle through the maddening pain. One by one, men formed into regiments, regiments became battalions and cohorts, and the army was a unified force once again. Tzerack turned west.

Now Tzerack’s army had become a machine of war. Their crimson armor ran constantly with molten metal, and behind the visor of every helm raged a hellish inferno. Black smoke and the scent of brimstone filled the air wherever they marched. They lacked mortal bodies, and they had become inured to all pain, after the constant agony of their immolation. Without muscles they did not tire, without stomachs they required no sustenance. With no escape from their wargear, they needed only war- and many willingly fell to the sway of Khorne. Bloodthristy salamanders of the volcanic mountains flocked to this hellish host, the lavalizards loping along beside the army. Tzerack continued his search for the artifacts of Tzeentch into the west, sweeping aside the dwarves who stood in his path in a firestorm of destruction. He descended into the Old World, marching straight for Athel Loren. His men burned every town, every tree and every thicket to the ground as they past, spilling blood for the Blood God and visiting fiery destruction like their own, upon every living thing.

Reaching the borders of Athel Loren, the warriors halted and drew up into battle lines. As one, their unearthly voices began to chant, clanging their swords against their shields in time, to make a deafening thunderclap. Two men who had become Spawn were herded forward. In their transformation, the daemons within their armor had broken loose, giving them corporeal form once again, holding the broken plates of armor together over their tremendous forms. Tzerach glided on his disc to the fore of his army to make his demand. Surrender the spear of the one whom the Elves called Orion, or he would burn Athel Loren to the ground.

Okay, this is not a big deal, but I just wanted to let everyone know that a new rule has been added to the list in the first post. It's not really a "rule" that anyone has to worry about perse, but at the behest of my legal council (family/teachers/forward-thinking-girlfriend) I basically added in the stupid little 'All Rights Reserved' clause.

What does this mean for you?
I explained it briefly in the first post, but here's what it boils down to. If you want to expand on whatever I give you, or base your own writings on it, that's perfectly okay. I know for example that Glavas is entering Karnag into the Summer Arena of Death, and that Visitor Q has been expanding Garril's story beyond what I provided in this thread (i'm waiting to read that by the way). That doesn't bother me in the slightest, and I'd actually like to encourage everyone to not stop with what I provide- fluff is a living, breathing thing that should grow with your army.
The new "rule" is basically just stating that if GW or another company sees something I've written and likes it, I am retaining my rights to claim the idea as my own and market it to them, if that means expanding on it, changing it, blah blah blah. Really, this is no change for anyone, and I know that I'd probably never have that kind of trouble with anyone on LO, but it's just best to put it in writing.

lol- like i'll ever get published anyways

aww man, i hope that's sarcasm. I really hope i didn't come across as an arrogant ***** or anything. I was just trying to clear up how i feel about people altering my fluff (which is, by the way: two-thumbs-up encouraged lol).

Anyways, of course you can put in a request. I love writing, so the more the merrier.

The only way I could see on expanding my new army's fluff (thank you captain ) would be adding in small parts for every battle that i encounter with my new Chaos force, including what is going on in between. This might make it book-like length

I wouldn't worry about it most of the copyrights would vest with GW anyway and the stuff that didn't you wouldn't have a claim to anyway.

For example say I wrote a piece about Garill Hammerfist's adventures in Kisliev you wouldn't actually have any rights to that story beyond me using the name Garill Hammerfist (i.e I would have to change the name but you couldn't take the story).
