Thread: Where do they come from?

    Where do they come from?

Where do they come from; Greater Daemons that is. Are they made by the whim of the Dark Gods only to fit their desire. Are they formore Champions that became Daemon Princeses and were exhalted to another level of Daemonhood. Or are they something more?

I would like to hear other peoples ideas behind these instruments of the Dark Gods.

My personal opinion is that some were once Daemon Princeses. Due to the amount of individuality that each one of them holds. For it is the ultimate goal of a Champion of Chaos to one day reach Daemonhood or die trying.

This is spot on. In the background a Deamon Prince is at least as powerful as a Greater Daemon so there is no need to aspire further in terms of Deamonhood.

    Hence the term 'Prince'

So if these Greater Daemons as made up out of the whims of their Dark Gods. Three out of the four have no problem with this, but one would and that would be Khorne. For Khorne is so apposed to magic and the use of it that he could never masifest the Winds of Magic or the raw power that exsistece in the realm to manifest a Bloodthirster. So Khornes Bloodthrusters would have to come from formor Champions. His brothers could create theirs from nothing, if so desired and the need arised.

    Easily made misconception.
Khorne is violently opposed to using spell casting to win a fight. He has no problems using chaos energy to imbue weapons with great power, or to create his foot soldiers and generals. =)

Speaking of which, back to the OP, Greater Daemons are created by the gods to enact their will. Each shares the personality of the god which created them, but after creation is a separate and unique entity They are the most free-willed of the created daemons, but still share their creator's goals and objectives.
Current Project: Grey Daemons of Khorne
