    Morathi isn't the hag queen, that is Hellebron.

    I am not entirely sure why Morathi would want Malekith overthrown either given that she is his son and lover. She wields most of the real power anyway and has him on the throne to protect her should she need him.

    Ariel in her non-war form would probably look fairly similar to Morathi anyway, given that they are both elven and incredibly beautiful. I suspect they would dress differently though, for some reason evil chicks dress hotter

    depends on your standards personaly i think a damsels garb is far hotter than the witch elves (after all is said an done i'm not really attracted to the slutty stuff)

    But Morathi doesn't dress like a witch elf, what with her being a sorceress. Hellebron is head of the witch elves because Morathi allows her to retain her illusion of power whereas most witch elves are still loyal to Morathi. Mind you the model of Morathi on her dark pegasus looks quiet slutty, whereas the model of her on foot from a few years back has her in long robes and a dress.

    At least in the novel, the ambiguity seemed intentional, and from what everyone's saying--and I don't pretend to be that familiar with all the fluff--it seems it may be the case that GW did blur the two on purpose.

    I always thought that it was fairly implicit that the 2 were the same. Both are natureish goddesses of incredible power, and both dwell within Athel Loren.

    2 goddesses of epic levels in the same forest, with similar attributes?

    Unlikely. I think you're quite right in saying that they're one and the same.

    and in the end does it really matter i mean honestly it has no bearing on the game whatsoever even in a fluff oreintated army purely cuz unlike ariel, morathi etc the lady takes no part in the game whatsoever
