Although not strictly telling you how the battle went this weekend, this is more of a 'I'll tell you what my idea is, and you give me feedback.'
Of course, I'll have to seek the consent of the other friends before I make any of the battles public, although I'm almost sure they won't mind.
Any reports I have will be word heavy meaning a lot of reading and no videos (no video recorder, and no money to buy one. Not even a crappy one.) That said, I'll make it into maybe 2 or more parts to make it a little more digestable for people rather than having to read it ALL in one go.
I myself have only two armies, High Elves and Wood Elves both around 5000 points. The other two, more financially able people of the regulars, have Vampire Counts, Bretonnians, Skaven, Dark Elves and Ogre Kingdoms that I can remember off the top of my head ranging between 4000 and 12000 points for each. So there is a fairly diverse offering.
Me and one other person are both considering purchasing horde armies, but I'm still indecisive as to which I should choose. (Strapped on a budget, but if you have any ideas, feel free to inbox me!)
So in the first part of the report, I would have army lists including what items and are on what characters, battle size, army size and a roughly plan of how they are setup at the very start. (At this point, you could throw in your own tactics through posts and we could discuss them.) The second part would describe the first 2 or 3 turns including dice rolls, losses, movements and then this would have rough diagrams for the end of each turn. Part 3 and maybe 4 if necessary (rarely get much past turn 4 through the time restraints we have.) would be the same as previous but have the winning army at the end and maybe a count of whats left.
Like I said, this is only an idea. Wether a good or bad idea, I have no idea which is why I'm posting it here. Until my new laptop is delivered, I might not be here to check posts, so bear with me if I don't reply and I WILL get back to you.
