3 Way Battle Report 2150 pts (High Elves, Wood Elves, and Dark Elves)

I just typed this, it was from last nights battle. I hope I recalled everything.

Sorry I didn't have all the lists handy.

This was a very fun game I recommend everyone try it at some point.


Rules:

Each of us had a tower 24 inches from the other towers thus forming a triangle. All of our units had to be deployed within 6 inches of our tower while scouts could be deployed up to 10 inches from the tower. Each of use would get 1 piece of terrain to place and the Battle would take place in the Realm of the High Elves. In the middle of the triangle was another tower. This Tower had a magic item that allowed PL6 2D6 ST 4 magic missle bound spell. This could be used by a character or a unit if strength 5 or more.

I don’t have everyone’s list and I going from memory.

It seemed as if several months had passed the High Elf warriors once brightly clad, now had dirt covered garments. The Elven warriors had been sent to find a magic item, that was unearthed due to a quake, by the Archmage Helglen. He claimed this item was powerful and had to be found before someone else did. He also claimed the trip was less than 2 weeks time…

The Dark Elves also sensed this magic item. They had just left their Black Arc vessel and headed in the direction of the item. The Dark Elf general on his Dragon flew ahead to scout the terrain…

The Wood Elves in a nearby forest saw the Dark Elf General and quickly gathered a small force. The Wood Elf general was with the Waywatchers that saw the Dragon and commanded his army to follow them, they must be up to something…

As the three armies neared the location of the item they all became more anxious to obtain it. Then it happened all three came apon a triangle of towers with a strange looking tower in the middle. The first to arrive where the Wood Elves and the general himself along with his scouts snuck into the tower during the night. He commanded the rest of his army to stay near the tower until he returned leaving the wood elf mage in charge. The Dark Elves arrived next and they claimed a tower and sent a small scouting group to investigate the middle tower. Finally, the High Elves arrived and claimed the third tower. Drawn by the object in the middle tower all three immediately set up to claim the middle tower for themselves…

High Elves: (Terrain Rolled = Hill)

Unit of Archers in 2 ranks on the hill facing the Dark Elves. In front of them at the bottom of the hill 1 unit of Spear Elves. Behind the tower facing the Archers on the hill a unit of 19 White Wolves with a commander name Etheron wearing Armour of the gods and carrying a Halberd. On top of the Tower were the Repeater Bolt thrower crew with 1 great eagle Nesra. On the other side of the tower facing the Wood Elves were 1 unit of Archers with the Archmage Helglen. Next to them were the Silverhelms lead by Cantrel wearing the Lion Cloak. The Swordmasters Lead by Glandrin with the Reaver bow were behind them. And last but not least 1 great eagle Morto behind them.

Wood Elves: (Terrain Rolled = Great Wall)

The Wood Elf general Landor Greyleaf and his Waywatchers deployed in the tower in the center and hid his incredibly long spear from view. On the far side of the tower facing the High Elves. A unit of Glade Riders with a large unit of Dryads next to them and a unit of War Dancers and archers behind them. A unit of archers including a Wood Elf Calandra mage with the Staff of Sorcery. On the other side of the tower facing the Dark Elves were one unit of Glade Riders with a mage Alene and a unit of archers behind them. On the great wall itself were one unit of Wood Elven Archers.

Dark Elves: (Terrain Rolled=Hill)

The Dark Elf general Malice Draulblade mounted his Large Black Dragon and adoned his large helm. He thought to himself High magic would be no use versus him. And then positioned his dragon to the left of the tower facing towards the Wood Elves. He then orders his scouts to move forward near the center tower and to guard the Dark Elf mage Dromina she must be kept alive. Next to him a unit of witch elves. Flanked by a unit of Dark Riders. On top of the tower were the Repeater Bolt Thrower and crew along with a Unit of Harpies. On the other side of the tower facing the High Elves were 5 Cold One Knights a unit of spearmen followed by a unit of corsairs.

Dark Elves Turn 1:

The Cold One unit prepared to charge the High Elf spearmen, but the Cold Ones didn’t respond and instead move forward slightly. Malice took to the air and landed his Dragon in front of the Alene and her unit of Glade Riders preparing his dragon to breathe on the Wood Elves in front of them. The Spearmen and Corsairs both moved forward with the spearmen daring the High elf spearmen to charge. The Scouts and wizard moved to put themselves against the wall of the center tower keeping them out of site of the High Elves. While the Witch elves marched forward toward the Wood Elves and Alene. The harpies flew to the left flank preparing to charge the High Elf Repeater in the Tower. The Dark Riders moved next to the middle tower prepare for a charge on the Wood Elves Glade Riders and Alene.

Dromina attempted to cast chill wind on Landor Greyleaf and the Wood Elf Waywatcher in the tower, but it was dispelled by Alene. She then failed to cast Dominion.

Malice laughed inside and his black dragon spewed it vial flames onto the Wood Elves in from of him. The flames tore through the Glade Rider unit and hit the archers behind. 4 archers were killed and 2 glade riders. The last remaining archer turned tail and ran away. It was two much for Alene and her unit as they also turned tail and ran from the beast. The scouts fired multiple volleys into the wood elf archers on the great wall and 2 fell dead. The Repeater Bolt Thrower fire a single bolt into the High Elf spearmen skewering 3 of them.

Wood Elves Turn 1:

Landor grimaced as he saw the Dragon lay waste, he would vowed it would pay. The Dryad unit moved sideways towards the Dragon trying to help contain the flank, but by doing so now put them in charge range of the Witch Elves. The Glade Riders moved up and reformed on the flank of High Elves. The Wardancers moved up to protect the Dryads. The Warhawk riders flew over to the flank of the Dark Elves.

Landor had grasped the magic shard and held it high, Lightning was released and hit the Witch Elves killing 4 of them. Calandra tried to cast master of stone on the Witch elves but she used to much power and she was raked with pain. The Archers in the tower opened fire on the Dark Elf scouts and 2 fell. While the Archers on the Great Wall unleashed arrows toward the Dragon and its rider, but all bounced off of its thick hide. The Glade riders on the High Elves flank opened fire and killed 2 High Elf archers. Then the Warhawk riders fired on the Dark Riders and 2 of them were killed. Finally, Landor threw his hunting spear and hit the Cold Ones on the side he could hardly believe it, but none of them fell.

High Elves Turn 1:

Cantrel saw both the War Dancers and Dryads in range, but then also saw the Witch Elves preparing to charge the Dryads. He ordered his Silver Helms to charge the War Dancers and with that they galloped across the grass heading for the War Dancers. Both Morto and Nesra, the great eagles, charged the Glade Riders. Who decided to flee and outran both of them. The Spearmen charged the Dark Elf spearmen. Glandrin left his unit and moved next to the archer unit in front thus putting the Cold Ones in his line of sight. The Swordmasters moved forward following behind the Silver Helms.

Helglen successfully casts fury of khaine on the Wood Elf Waywatchers 2 are killed by the blast. He then tries to cast Flames of Phoenix on the Cold Ones, but then his Starwood Staff began to glow and spell went off. Flames engulfed the Cold Ones, but none fell.

The Repeater Bolt Thrower crew fires 6 times at the Cold Ones, but none fall. Glandrin targets the Cold Ones with his Reaver Bow and fires three arrows all hit, but just 1 Cold One Knight dies. The High Elf archers open fire on the Cold Ones as well, but their arrows bounce off their dark elven armour. The other unit of archers opened fire on the Way Watchers in the Center Tower, but failed to kill any.


Cantrel cannot believe these Wardancers didn’t retreat. As he and his Silver Helms slayed 5 War Dancers and took no casualties he saw the War Dancer champion yell something and all of the other War Dancers gave a silent nod. He was sure they would run, but amazingly they did not. Apparently they must have been given the command to fight to the death, Cantrel thought. As the High Elf Spear Elves charge the Dark Elves spearelvesmen one of the Dark Elves removed his cloak and had a long jagged sword preparing for the charge. It was an assassin thought the spear elf champion. That was the last thing he thought as the assassin easily killed him and did so with such grace the other spearmen were stunned and only managed to kill 1 dark elf while losing 3 in return. The spearelves couldn’t hold and ran away. The Dark Elf spearmen and assassin chased them down and murdered every last one.

Dark Elves turn 2:

The Cold Ones were now ready to charge the High Elf archers on the hill. The command was given by the champion, but the beasts didn’t respond and instead walked forward.
The Witch Elves charged into the Dryads in front of them. The Dark Elf spearmen moved forward putting the archers defending the hill in their charge arc. The harpies moved to the High Elf flank also putting the archers on the hill in their charge arc. The Corsairs moved up just to the right of the Dark Elf spearmen protecting their flank. On the other side of the Battlefield Malice flew his dragon over the Great Wall and landed just behind it keeping the fleeing Glade Riders and Wardancers in his sights.

Dromina, raised her hand and summoned a spell at the Wood Elves on the Great Wall. Calandra still shaken by her miscast could not stop it. One of the archers fell over dead and the rest of them started to shake making them unable to notch their arrow. Dromina, then tried to cast another spell at the dryads, She screamed with an incredible howl, but Calandra had recovered enough to read a dispel scroll.

The Dark Elf Scouts fired their repeater crossbows at Calandra and her unit in the Wood Elf Tower, but the arrows failed to wound. The Repeater Bolt Thrower fired 6 shots at the Landor and the Waywatchers in the middle tower, but all missed their mark. The Dragon spewed his flames at the archers in on the great wall 4 of them were turned to ashes.

The Witch Elves leap at the Dryads, but in mid air they noticed the tree spirits turn into willow trees. As they reached the Dryads many of them had they arms grabbed by the willow branch and where not able to attack effectively. Several the Witch Elves were two fast and their poison blades struck home. 4 of the Dryads fell as the poison rushed through them. The Dryads attacked back but only killed only one Witch Elf. The dryads broke and ran only to be hacked down by the pursing Witch Elves nearly taking them into combat with the Silver Helms and Wardancers.

Wood Elf Turn 2:

Landor saw his army being defeated on all sides, but at least he had the shard and with it he felt unstoppable. Even with Large Dragon near, Alene and her fleeing unit saw their banner begin to glow and they turned around feeling very confident. They moved away from the dragon and to the flank of the battle between the silver helms and wardancers. The rest of the Wood Elves didn’t seem bothered by the Dragon at all. The Other units of Glade Riders also rallied. The Warhawk Riders Charged the Dark Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower in the Tower.

Landor held his shard in the air and targeted his lightning bolts at the Witch Elves that just destroyed the dryads. Dromina, decided not to use her abilities to cancel the spell she new worse would be coming. 5 of Witch Elves fell dead. Calandra then successfully casted Master of the stone, Dromina could not stop it and stones from the great wall flew into Witch elves killing 2 more. Alene then tried to cast master stone, but miscast and ended the magic phase.

Landor threw his Hunting spear with great accuracy towards the Witch elves 2 more fell, but they were so drawn by the blood lust of battle and didn’t even care. His Waywatchers fired also killing 2 more now there were only a few of the foul Witch women remaining. The Rest of the Wood Elf Archers targeted the Malice and his dragon. But only 2 hit Malice and both deflected of his armour.

In Combat, Cantrel saw the Wardancers back away and then leap forward through the air driving their swords downward. He hacked away at the incoming wardancers and killed 2 of them before they landed. The rest of the wardancers struck the Silverhelms and their swords pierced the Silver Helms armour. 2 of the Silver Helms fell due to the attack. The Silver helm champion attacked back with fury and also slayed 2 wardancers. The wardancers could not hold and broke they ran away from the Silver Helms, but towards the Malice and his black Dragon. The silver helms followed, but could not catch the fleet footed wood elves. The Warhawk riders impaled both Repeater Bolt Thrower Crew and now had possession of the Dark Elf Tower.

High Elves Turn 2:

Mordo the great eagle and the Silver Helms charged the fleeing Wardancers. They tried to run again, but they could not out run the Great Eagle he ripped several apart by himself and rest scattered in every direction. Cantrel and the Silver Helms realized they won’t catch the Wardancers and stop pursuit. Glandrin quickly moved and rejoined the Swordmasters who had moved slightly forward putting the Witch Elves in their charge arc. The High elf Archers on the hill backed up slightly from the Dark Elf assassin and the Dark Elf spearmen unit. Nesra the other Great Eagle moved on the flank of the Swordmasters facing the High Elf Tower. The High Elf archers with Helglen moved forward towards the Center Tower.

The Cold ones engulfed in the flames of Phoenix saw it glow brighter and another Cold One rider falls dead. Helglen casts Vauls unmaking Landor in the middle tower with such force it can’t be stopped. The Hunting spear begins to glow and falls to pieces. Helglen then casts Flames of the Phoenix on the Dark Elf Corsairs unit. Dromina tries to dispel it, but it’s to powerful and a large phoenix engulfs the Corsairs and 8 of them fall dead.

Glandrin targets Landor and his Waywatcher and fires 3 arrows from his Reaver Bow even though they are well hidden and protected the arrows kill 3 of the Waywatchers. The Repeater Bolt Thrower sensing it is about to be charged by the Harpies fires 6 times at them, but one 3 are killed and amazingly they don’t panic. The Archers on the hill fire at the Dark Elf spearmen and 3 spearmen fall dead. The other archers unleash their arrows on the Witch Elves and 2 fall to the barrage.


Dark Elves Turn 3:

The Dark Lord Malice saw the Silver Helms and Cantrel right in front of him and charged them. The Dark Riders charge Alene and the Glade Riders. Attempting to flee as they turned to run and were caught and destroyed by the Dark Riders. The Harpies flew through the air and charged the High Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower. The Dark Elf Assassin and spearmen charged up the hill at the High Elf Archers. The Archers turned tail and fled, in fact they ran off the battlefield. The Assassin and Spearelves failed to catch them, and now on the hill saw the White Lions preparing to charge. The Witch elves wheeled to prepare a charge on the Wood Elves Tower and Calandra’s archers.

Dromina tried to cast on the Landor, but Calandra blocked it. Dromina then failed to cast Dominion on the High Elf Archers.

The scouts protecting Dromina fired on the High Elf archers approaching the Center tower and 4 of them were killed.

In Close Combat Malice issued a challenge Cantrel was going to accept it. When his champion bravely stepped forward to fight Malice. Malice attacked with his Guantlet of power and easily slayed the champion while his Dragon eat the champions remains. The Silver Helms where immune to the Fear cause by the Dragon due to their banner, but even though Cantrel had the Lion Guard Cloak they still fled. Malice and his Dragon chased after them but their Elven steeds out distanced the Black Beast. The Harpies attacked the Bolt Thrower crew and clawed 1 to death, the remaining high elf killed one Harpy in return. The brave crew member held his ground as he could see Nesra move into view.

Wood Elves Turn 3:

The remaining unit of Glade Riders moved across the field and to the flank of the Dark Riders.


Landors arms were burnt do to his exploding Hunting Spear. But he still held the shard and lighting arched through the Helglen failed to stop it and 3 more archers High Elven archers fell. Leaving only 1 and Helglen left. Calandra cast master of the stone on the Swordmasters crossing the battlefield, but Helglen read a dispel scroll and stopped it.

Calandra knew they were in trouble and commanded her archers to fire on the Witch Elves. Their arrows flew and 2 more fell, but there were still 7 left and they were in charge range. The Glade Riders fired arrows at the Dark riders and 3 more only 1 remained. The Waywatchers in the tower fired at the last Dark Rider and all 3 arrows struck home killing him.

High Elves Turn 3:

Cantrel Rallied the Silver Helms and they turned and faced Malice and the Dragon. The White Lions charged the Dark Elf Spearmen who bravely held to take the charge. Nesra spread her wings and charged the Harpies fighting the lone Bolt Thrower crewmen. The Swordmasters and Glandrin turned to put Malice and his dragon into view. Helglen left the remaining archer and quickly joined the Swordmaster unit in front of him. Morto circled back and headed to the flank of Malice.

Helglen delighted as his Flames of the Phoenix from last turn continued to burn the Cold One Knights 2 more fell dead leaving only one remaining. Helglen tried to cast Vauls unmaking on Malice but the spell hit him and was absorbed by his helmet he must have some ward against high magic, Helglen thought to himself. He then cast Flames of the Phoenix on the Corsairs. Dromina tried desperately to stop it but it was too powerful and 12 of the Corsairs were engulfed in flames.

Glandrin saw the Malice and his Black Dragon preparing to charge Cantrels Silver Helms. He fired three shots at Malice with his Reaver Bow. 1 hit malice and 2 hit the Dragon. Both arrows that hit the dragon filled to penetrate its hide. The last arrow that hit Malice found it’s mark and went though his armour causing a wound. The 1 remaining archer fired on the Glade Riders, but failed to wound.

As the White lions charged the Spear Elves the Assassin offered a challenge the White Lion Champion accepted. The Assassin killed the champion easily, but Etheron inspired his unit by yelling.�Make him pay for that.� Etheron then killed 3 spearmen while his White Lions killed 3 more. The Dark Elves spearmen could not attack back and broke and ran. Etheron called for the White Lions not to pursue and they listened to his words and waited. Nesra attacked the Harpies on top of the High Elf Tower she killed 2 of them but the remaining 2 easily killed the last Bolt Thrower Crew. The Harpies tried to flee, but Nesra Chased them down and ripped them apart with his talons.


Dark Elves Turn 4:

The Assassin and Dark Elf spearmen rallied. Malice saw Cantrel rally his last remaining Silver Helm, The Standard Bearer. Malice then charged his Black Dragon into them, he was amazed the two Elves didn’t flee. That banner must give them the will to fight on he thought to himself. The Witch Elves Charged up the inside of the tower at Calandra and the other wood elf archers. The Lone Cold One Knight charged the White Lions as did the remaining Corsairs with most of them still on fire from the Phoenix. The Scouts and Dromina moved next to the center tower preparing to climb it and attack Landor and the few remaining Waywatchers.

Dromina tried to using all her magic power to dispel the Flames on the Corsairs, but the power of the spell was more than she could stop and failed. Helglen chuckled to himself at her efforts.

Shooting: The Scouts turned their crossbows on the Great Eagle and hit their mark Nesra was killed and fell from the sky.

In close combat, The Cold One Knight attacked the White Wolves with his hatred, but even so he was unable to slay any. The Corsairs also attacked and 2 White Wolves fell. Ehteron attacked back and slayed 3 of the Corsairs while the White wolves also kill 2 more. The Cold One Knight and Corsairs, were both outnumber and broke then ran from combat. The White Wolves chased the Corsairs down and killed them all. While the Cold One Knight escaped combat and, being the only one left in his unit, left the battlefield. Malice offered a challenge and it was accepted by Cantrel. Malice attacked, but Cantrel was able to avoid all his blows but one. Now his Dragron attacked Cantrel tried to block his mighty claws, and block all but one as he was crushed into the ground by the dragon. Malice had won the combat, The Silver Helm remaining laughed, you don’t frighten me. The Lion on this standard protects me from your fear. I will avenge Cantrel and he stayed to fight another round. The Witch Elves charged up the tower stairs 2 were felled from wood elf arrows during the charge. They attacked the Wood Elves and Calandra, who had taken cover behind the door way. They failed to kill any Wood Elves and in return Calandra and the Wood Elves kill 3 witch elves. The Witch Elves lost the combat and fled back down the stairs. Calandra tried to restrain pursuit, but the rest of her Wood Elves had already left to chase the Witch Elves, she followed but the Dark Women out ran them.

Wood Elves Turn 4:

The Glade Riders charge the remaining High Elf archer. He stood and fired dismounted one of the glade riders on the charge. Calandra realized what they had done leaving the cover of the Tower and ordered her unit back inside the tower the other Wood Elf archers followed her commands.

Landor held his shard in the air and summoned Lightning on the Swordmasters now approaching the center tower, but it was dispelled by Helglen. Calandra then casted Master of the Stone, on Dromina and her unit. She was unable to stop it and stone from the middle tower flew toward her small unit. She saw the two remaining Scouts hit with stones in the head and their bodies and fall dead. She tried to dodge the stones, but was hit in the chest getting the wind knocked out of her and falling to one knee. As she looked up another stone hit Dromina in the head and she fell to the ground dead.


High Elf turn 4:

Etheron saw the Dark Assassin and his small remaining unit of spearmen. He ordered his White Wolves to Charge and down the hill they ran into the Dark Elf warriors. Morto charged the side of the Dragon hoping maybe he could hold it until help arrived.

The Sword Masters moved forward and angle themselves for a flank charge towards the black dragon and Malice if the lone Silver Helm and Morto could just hold out.

Helglen casted Fury of Khaine on the Witch Elves and all 6 remaining were killed. Helglen then casted drain magic on Calandra. She was stunned by the attack, but happy she didn’t seem to take any damage.

Glendrin fired his Reaver Bow at the Wood Elf archers on the Great Wall and 3 of them were killed. The rest of the unit turned and ran away from the battlefield.

In close combat, Etheron issued a Challenge, the Dark Elf Assassin accepted. Etheron attacked with his halberd, but the Assassin had suffered only a minor wound. The Assassin struck back and Etheron parried all but two attacks, the assassin stuck his blade into Etheron and he felt the poison run though his vains. Within seconds Etheron was dead. The rest of the White Wolves fought with prowess and killed 4 spearmen. The spear elves attacked back but could only kill 2 white wolves. Outnumbered and weak the Dark Elf spearmen broke and the Dark Elf assassin went with them. The White Wolves pursued and killed the rest of the Dark Elf spearmen as well as the Assassin. The remaining Silver Helm saw Malice getting ready to strike with his gauntlet and lunged before it. Malice was surprised by the Silver Helms speed, but easily parried the attack. Malice’s Dragon then attacked the Great Eagle, and wounded but did kill it. Finally, Malice attacked the Silver Helm and decapitated him with his Gauntlet of might. However, the Silver Helm and Morto had slowed Malice enough that he would not be able to avoid Glendrin, Helglen and the Swordmasters next turn.

Dark Elf Turn 5:

Malice could not believe the lone eagle could survive the might of his dragon. The Great Eagle Morto attacked Malice and hit him, but at the last minute the Helmet Malice was wearing glowed brightly and stopped the talon from penetrating his body. The Dragon then ripped Morto into 2 pieces.

Wood Elf Turn 5:

Landor surveyed the area knowing it would soon be night he thought if only he could hold on a bit longer he would be victorious. He signaled Calandra and her remaining archers to stay put. While the few remaining Glade Riders retreated to the center tower to protect Landor.

Landor casted his Lightning on Malice and the dragon. Scores of Lightning bolt hit them both and when the stormed ended Malice was slumped dead on the back of the dragon. The dragon lost control and few from away from the battle leaving no Dark Elves remaining. Calandra casted master of stone with incredible power and Helglen couldn’t stop it. Stones from the Great Wall flew at the Swordmaster unit. 8 Swordmasters were kill, only the great calming effect by Helglen kept the remaining 7 Swordmasters and Glendrin from fleeing.

High Elf Turn 5:

The Swordmaster unit turned back towards the center tower putting both the Wood Elf Tower and the Center Tower in is line of sight. The White Wolves turned and headed towards the Center tower also.

Helglen casted flames of the Phoenix on the Glade Riders at the base of the tower with incredible force. There was no way Calandra could stop it. The 4 Glade riders burst into flames and all of them fell to the ground burning. Helglen then tried to cast Fury of Khaine on Landor and his last 2 Waywatchers, but put to much power into it and miscasted, ending the magic phase.

Glendrin was unable to see the middle tower, but could see the Wood Elf tower with Calandra. He fired his Reaver Bow and hit 3 times as the arrows went though the stone protection the last 2 Wood Elf archers died and Calandra had been wounded in the arm, but she valiantly held her location.

Wood Elf Turn 6:

With only Calandra, Landor, and 2 Waywatchers left.
Calandra knew what she must do. She began to cast master of the stone, Helglen the high Elf archmage knew he could easily block the spell. Calandra then pulled out a power stone and boosted the power of the spell. Helglen tried but could not stop it. Stones flew at the Swordmasters and 7 more were killed leaving only Glendrin and Helglen standing. Then Landor called lightning on both of them. Helglen could not stop it and both of them were hit. Helglen and Glendrin were both killed. Leaving only 9 White Wolves remaining.

High Elf Turn 6:

The nine remaining White Wolves charged at the center tower, but began to tire and as they got to the door of the center tower. They saw only Landors face as the door slammed shut and locked. The Elven warriors had no way to break it down. Night had fallen and the final 9 White Wolves left the battle field to return home and tell of the story.



Winner Wood Elves:

They claimed the tower and the magic item.

But man what a bloody game.

Stay tuned. This Friday I will be having a battle vs the Great Lizard List. That should be interesting. A friend of mine at the STore wants to play me with his Great Lizard List.

Great report. I loved it especially the way you didn't say x number of this unit were killed when y charged them and instead made it more of a story.

The only thing though (sorry if this is a stupid question) is why are there € signs and the such like in the middle of words? I think i have seen it somewhere else and i've been wondering why?
