Character LOS within units

If a character wishes to lone-charge out of a unit, do they use the units LOS or their individual LOS???

As he moves with the unit, as an ordinary trooper, he uses the LoS for the unit

Thanks! That's how I imagined it...as when the charge is declared he is still with the unit at that point. =)
