Selecting magic lores

This might be in the rule book & I have some how missed it so apologies if that's the case.

Should I be selecting the lore I will be using at

A: the same time I write my army list or

B: waiting until units are placed & we are ready to roll for spells.

At the time you write your list. That means, when playing a tournament that you are bound to the same lore(s) for the entire tournament.
