Does okkam also work on horses mounts? What about monstrous mounts?
I read the pertinent part of the rule "Models in the target unit use their Leadership instead of Strength when rolling to wound with all close combat attacks whilst the spell remains in effect (any Strength bonuses from weapons are ignored)."
Looking at an example - Empire Knightly order I see the rider has a Ld of 8 and the warhorse has a Ld of 5. My interpretation is that there is a Ld stat line for the warhorse just for this reason.
Pg 82 suggests that the model uses the rider's leadership "We assume the rider to be in complete control of his mount, so the mount's Leadership is never used, unless a special rule stated otherwise." Yes its ambiguous... but a little common sense may prevail here. It is apparent from reading the context that Leadership is being referred to in this paragraph in regards to normal Leadership type tests. The OM spell I would lump into the "special rule" as per this phrase and use the warhorse's Ld for the mount attack.
Basicly... the mount has it's own stat line for a reason.
