You know, I really don't like lists that have more than 3 pieces of artillery (bolt throwers exempted.) However, they are darn good in votewars. Even with less than average luck those canons are going to butcher the knights (the ones that have honor!). GrandDuke

Empire

Given that the Brets didn't pray, Empire. The shooting will be most damaging, and the Empire knights most annoying.

I'm leaving the bandwagon, and casting my lot with Bretts. Here's why:
*The knights have a huge advantage in mobility. This advantage means two things:
-There can feasibly be two units of knights engaging the Empire's front. This was one of my biggest concerns about 7th Ed.
-There will only be one round of shooting, before everything is smooshed under the weight of tempered metal and wooden sticks into a barely identifiable blob of red.

*The lack of cc Detachments means the knights will hit home in a VERY nasty charge. The way the Empire can win combats is through static CRes, which said Detachments provide.

*The Crossbowmen shouldn't be a problem. Pretty much everything in the army will be reduced to a 3+ save. If they were handguns, I'd consider differently.

*Both the Trebuchets can make mincemeat of the Empire Knights, wounding on a 2+, and ignoring armour.

All the Empire really have gunning for them are a few Cannons which will be silenced, and R&F, which should be overwhelmed by the Brett charge. And when it does happen, the banners will pick up huge VPs.

RAF will silence the guns and the trebuchets will do just as much damage.

Brets. The MSU style is good for them here, with plenty of easy VPs to pick up in artillery, detachments, and those trebs will be lobbing into the Swordsmen as much as the Knights I think (Plenty can deal with the Empire Knights already). Made even easier if the Swordsmen don't move (guess range stuff)
