Chaos army O'DOOM has this one as It has so many dispel dice

Skaven magic will be negated by the Chaos DD

The skaven dont have enough magic to get past the defense

Ok well, I agree with everyone so far. I think that the Chaos will be able to dispell Scaven magic

I vote for Chaos Army O'Doom here. It has sufficient magic defense to weather the magical storm

the immense dispel pool renders magic redundant in this battle so ill put me vote in for ze point and click Chaos Army O' DOOM!!!

I think small factors have been getting way to much credit in this VW. I call it 'oooh, shiny!' syndrome..
Example: Magic is only a small part of the Skaven lists arsenal, yet Chaos is being given the win because it has a nice heap of Dispel dice.. What about the shooting & 200-odd rats it has to deal with?.. :sleep:
2 of those votes are quite clearly based almost entirely on that..
No wonder the Elves cant make it to a VW final, people dont put enough tactical thought into their votes. Thats why we'll always see Bretonnians/skaven/chaos. Shiny

No, I think he means that he needs to give his own reasoning. 'Yeah I agree' votes dont count.

Above post moved to this thread as it's more a general complaint about the votewar than specific to the match

If you say so. It may have been more appropriate for a Mod who isnt competing in the final to do this though. It did strike me as shoo-ing away a post that is in favor of Skaven.

I was thinking of editing it later to include my vote. If you want to keep it here, thats fine. But maybe you could copy it back to the match also.

i created this post earlier on, and reading through this thread, i just wondered what you think?
I reckon more people will stay interested, as they are not player specific lists, and (hopefully) loads of people will get involved. so there shouldnt be a drop off in voting. also, it would work well (as this votewar has done) in highlighting issues between armies etc, and the opinions of players on other armies. And it will be good in bringing people together on the site.
Anyway, not sure how much time we should leave between the current votewar and the nect, but i for one thoroughly enjoyed it, look forward to the next.
If its ok with everyone, and seems like a good idea, ill go through posting in each armies forum, as i have nothing to do for the summer now (Student! ) might as well keep myself busy.
(N.B, if i do, how do you get things ''pinned'' to stay at the top of forums?) Thanks for taking time to read this, gat back to me if you support the idea or have any comments etc.

Good idea, anything to keep the votewar/forums active Spector is the current votewar dude so let's see what he thinks, but it sounds to me like there won't be a problem.

If you want to pin a thread you need to get a mod to do it

Well the plan is soon to get a poll out to see what people want as the next Votewar. I'll definately include this as one of the options. Its an interesting idea and even if its not the next Votewar, we can get this one in eventually. The only issues I see with it is getting people to agree on what the "best" list is since its so arbitrary. One Lizardman player may prefer a list with a 2nd generation Slann, while another may believe the Oldblood is the way to go. Just an example.

fair point. still, votes can be take on individual lists, lol. cool, if you decide to take the idea further, im here to help. Just like to say thanks for this one too, my first votewar, and i enjoyed it a lot, despite getting beat asap lol.
