Aight, I'd like to run a few ideas by you guys. I'm kinda new here so all advice is appreciate. I only have a mental image of how my story will "eventually" begin. I havent plotted out the whole story, just about half of it.....or 1/20 of it for all I know. K so here it is:

The story takes place in no particular time period or popular era or planet. This is my own distinct story with unique planets and characters. It begins with a historians discover of a missing space marine chapter called 'The Titans'. He only discovers them in historical context, not in reality yet. But then rumors spread of another tainted chapter -----> rumors bogified by discovery of the Titans.

(Story behind Titans: The Titans were just like any space marine chapter with their own insigna, colors and leaders, but still normal nonetheless. After their home plant 'Titania' was destroyed by a massive warpstorm, they evacuated in the last surviving transport ships. But then they encountered a warpstorm themselves of no nature they or anyone had ever seen before. They vanished, completly disappeared from the Imperium. The story was quickly covered and hidden in only few portions of historical data due to its odd nature, the administratum felt it should be suppressed. Really, the ships and the Titans were frozen in time, in an unknown dimension. There they sat for 500 years till the storm moved on (it had been completly invisible to any detective techniques).)

And then the ships suddenly appear again, with no recolection among the marines of what happened.

Sounds good.....but what is the secret of the Titans? If it´s that they have simply been frozen in time, then the story could be about how the current Imperium distrusts them and thinks they are warp-tainted, or maybe they actually are!

Some more specific questions are needed, or maybe some text to see how your writing style is.
