I've seen the new Chaos Codex today and a winged Deamon Prince is a must at only 130pts!
I'm currently making a Chaos Legion know as the Darkmakers who are Chaos Champions that have learnt to channel the warp into reawakening the dead; therefore the army consists of squads of Undead Ultramarines being led by Chaos Champions.
You can find their full history on this post: http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/fiction-forum/101116-history-darkmaker-legion.html#post979784
Game wise I plan to use the Death Guard Marines for this, as feel no pain is perfect for Zombies.
My Problem is my HQ, fluff wise the Darkmaker Legion's leader Sharazad ‘Keeper of the Dead’ is a Deamonic entity of immense power, Although he lacks the strength of a full Deamon Prince he is able to summon up a wave of screaming souls that have been lost in the warp where and when ever he wishes. These souls act as both Sharazad’s sword and shield providing him with a perfect offence and defense as well as speed, with that fluff in mind I created this miniature.
I’m hoping that I can count it as a Winged Deamon Prince considering that the wave he is riding is part of the character and not the base (Be aware I plan to change the direction the cape is blowing to show the speed). Besides I don’t want to count this awesome min as an expensive chaos lord that are 90pts base!So my Question to you is would you except this model as a Deamon Prince if I backed it up with the fluff of the character background, if no explain why?
hi, yes i think it would count as a winged daemon prince but failing that use it as a lord. on a slightly similar note i saw the new codex today and it has some great things in it such as t6 nurgle bikers (instant death on t4 though) and turbo boosted tzeench bikers that have a 2+ invunerable. so my suggestion is that you use the thousand sons rules for this army as they are slow and dim witted like undead and their sorcerors could be used as your necromancers. one last point TS come with a 4+ inv and ap 3 bolters so load them up in rhinos and jump out and shoot those marines dead!

That models will work just fine for what you're wanting to do. It's positioning is very well done, as are your other marines.
Side: Where did you find those skeleton bits? I've been looking for some, but haven't been able to get my hands on any.
Lord Opium: Yeppers, T6 Nurgle bikes will be nice, but their cost may hinder them being fielded. While bikes will be coming down in cost (only slightly), the IoN (Icon of Nurgle) is a very expensive apple on its own.
Tzeentch bikers: How will they get a 2+ inv? The new 'dex doesn't list the IoT as providing anything remotely like this? Just curious.

@ rabbit: when bikers turbo boost their save becomes an inv save so if they have the MoT they get +1 to any inv save they may have or get a 5+ if they havent got one. so they get a 2+ when they turbo boost and a 5+ if they don't. (the skelly bits are from the vampire count skelly box set u get 20 of them about £1.
@ Inquisitor Proiteus: you should wait until the new book comes out coz the chaos lord and daemon prince entries are much different and so is the rest of the book for that matter :ninja: (have you any close ups of your ultra-zombies?)

Please allow me to share my thoughts,
first and actually on topic I'd say Yes, Indeed. This would easily go for a DP in my world. Great conversion and a fantastic idea. Those high-rising scenic bases can get a bit...to high and not scenic enough for my liking, but this. Wow.Skeleton warriors I think. The base choice for getting plenty of skellies.Originally Posted by His RabbitnessTurbo boosting bike 3+ inv, MoT +1 to any inv the model has, if it has none it gains a 5+. Not my cup of tea when I go for rules interpretation, but it might well work in some circles.Tzeentch bikers: How will they get a 2+ inv?
Oh, and finally -those Ultra Zombies are awsome.
that name might catch on you knowOh, and finally -those Ultra Zombies are awsome.
Sorry to hijack this thread for just a moment. As for a bike's turbo-boosting, there isn't currently a precedence for saying whether or not the +1 to an inv save conferred by the Mark of Tzeentch will apply to conditional inv saves, such as the case of a turbo-boosting bike. I'm of the opinion that it does not stack with conditional saves, as G.W. usually goes off of base attributes for determining these sorts of things.

You should have made a Carpet our of skellies and used a skimmer stand to prop him up. But the model is sweet and I would let you use him as winged. But Thousand Sons fits the chapter better.
If you call it a Missile launcher, then it'll never hit anything.
100% of people who aren't Karmoon know Saraneth is invincible.
but you still can have a winged thousand sons daemon princeBut Thousand Sons fits the chapter better.
*kicks thread back on target*
That's a brilliant model. I'd love to fight that as a daemon prince.
Feel free to use the codex in any manner to justify the effect that you want!
The new codex is full of factions which are dedicated to the various gods but not World Eaters, Emp Chil, Death Guard or 1K sons.
So, go crazy. As long as it's a legal list what does it matter?
People who think that a vaguely Tzeentchy army MUST be 1Ksons should really get their thumb out of their bunghole and start chilling out and enjoying life.
