I've been wanting to make my new army completely nurgle (no real game reason, just like nurgle) However a friend of mine brought up a good point. Terminators are already pretty tough to kill, do they realy need the boost to toughness?
So my question is,what is thebest mark/icon for terminators to take?
It depends on what you are going to use them for. For fire support take either the mark of nurgle or tzeentch. I prefer nurgle for the +1 toughness over the increased invulnerable save. Less wounds form enemy fire means less saves.
For assault I would go with Slaanesh over khorne so you can strike first in most cases against other marines or equally against eldar and nids. You can always get the extra attack by upgrading them to aspiring champions.
Xbox Gamertag: x Helbrecht x
The big advantage of 4th edition chaos terminators is their price- they're dirt cheap now. Whatever the role, they work well with the Glory Mark or no mark at all, which helps in keeping their cost down.
6x Chaos Terminators- 240 points
*1x heavy flamer
*2x chain fist
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Either way, if you want them Marked, they should have a half decent amount of models, say 6+. This will help make them cost effective.
I'm keen on 6-8 Khorne Termies, the extra attack with that kinda unit strength, and teleporting into the think of it, it just begs attention... because if it gets no attention, it will tear up the opponents army Helbrecht nailed it nicelt thought- Khorne aand Slaanesh for HTH, Nurgle and Tzeentch fo support.
I'm also of the opinion "safest place to be is HTH". Anything that shoots Termies will probably negate your armour, or just fire so much you'd fail some saves anyways.... or be high strength and wound you easily... so going for HTH is the way for me.
This, of course, works out very very differently on the tabletop- Tzeentch and Nurgle are awesome upgrades, depending on what has LoS to your Termies at the time. But this train of thought keeps me focused on cheap Termie units, with a defined purpose, and no wasting time. Get in HTH! 8X

I"d love to have 10 termies for this, but the army box is really my "last hurrah" for a while. I"m getting married and will have little money for a few months to sink into miniatures. therefore i'm trying to get the most points wise out of what i've got (the new army box, 10x squad of marines, additional defiler, scarab swarms as lesser daemons) so i can play 2k - maybe 2.5/3k games for normal 40k and apocalypse.
I was planning on just getting close with something that has an icon and deep strikeing the termies in with that, going right into H2H and tearing things up.
