I was checking the chaos dex and then I thought about the possibility to get your greater daemon into combat in 30+ inches.
As you don't need to pick a model beforehand he could pop up everywhere and also as the Biker champ.
Turboboost 24 inches, roll for posession and assault. Yeah; it might be tricky as rolling a die isn't exactly planning ahead. But it practically gives you 36 inch assault in 2 turns.
When all smoke is cleared on the Icon of Tzeentch and the enhanced Inv. save maybe you could even make your turboboosting champ have a 2+ save for the time being.
This is precisely why the new summoning rules for daemons are so powerful. The greater daemon may lack mobility but now that he can appear anywhere he is needed this is not too much of an issue.
A personal favorite of mine is to run a bare naked AC in my plasma chosen squad. This squad usually draws quite a bit of attention, more often than not enough to warrant the posession.
IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT!

It's not a bad idea but expensive. The cost of a biker champ isn't negligable.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were to burst at once into the sky,
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...
I am become Death,
The shatterer of Worlds.
The Tzeentch Turbo Boost thingy has already been discussed and I wish there was an answer to that question... but as of now, at least my local GW store don't allow it. Their claim on the Turbo Boost wording is that the biker's armour save are "treated as" (p.76 rulebook) invulnerable save due to the speed they are going. Chaos mark power only affects models with innate abilities such as base stats, armour save, etc., it doesn't affect anything that's temporary gained during the game. I wish it works too I've thought of using Tzeentch biker to go anti-tank for awhile now... too bad it has to be this way.
Units of Chosen that infiltrate could probably do the same except they would still be useful after their champion sacrifice themself for summoning. It fits the fluff too! ;Y
Anima Tactics - try it out!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as daemons enter the game through the reserve rules, you must role for summoning at the beginning of the movement phase, which precludes the use of turbo-boosting before summoning.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
this seems like a very good way of getting a greater daemon into CC fast, very fast. i might try it some time, but i'm still new to chaos and don't really have many models, and bikers aren't on my to-buy-list :/
