Hi there, I was wondering which Daemon weapon is peoples favourites and why. All have there own special ability and such, so id like to get an over view on peoples thoughts.
Mine is the Tzeentch daemon weapon, its the closets i can get to my old Kai gun and its a man reaper too, Fantastic. Undividd a close second due to increased strength.
i vote for tzeentch. but it's just as risky as the khorne one. i also like the slaanesh daemon weapon a lot.
"I have seen you humans, trying to forge an Empire in the name of a corpse"
Slaneesh, just for the combination you can do with it.
Lord With Slaneesh mark + steed + blissgiver = carnage
High initiative, faster to get into H2H, possible 10 attacks that cause instant death.
Great for hunting down multiwound models.
In the Castle of Pain on a Mountain of Skulls I sat on a Throne of Blood. What was will be, what is will be no more. Now is the season of Evil!

It's hard to say... it really depends on the situation to use whichever of these 3.
The undivided one is pretty decent because your lord will wound MEQs on 3+ and won't allow armor saves. So that's pretty good vs infantry.
The slaanesh one has very few uses. Okay... it does instant kill... but what can you really hurt with str 4? The only reason you should take this is if there are a lot of multiwound enemies or characters. Don't even consider it vs. tyranids since it doesn't go by their immune to instant kill and you can't even wound something with 8+ T.
Last but not least, my personal favorite... Tzeentch's wpn. This baby shoots out D6 shots AND gives you +D6 cc atks. Of course this increases the chance of you taking that wound, but you have that nice 4+ inv save now.
I believe these are the best wpns. you could get out of all of them.
If only a Lord could somehow get warptime... then the Tzeentch wpn. would rule vs. all.
My favourite would be Slaanesh Daemon weapon. The face of the enemy when you move his models is brilliant. Especially when you shoot the hell out of them afterwards
The undivided is the most versatile and at the same time consistent, as it caters to virtually any enemy army.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
I have to set myself out alone on this one and say Khorne-It is bloody risky but when it pays off, the carnage is just simply awesome.
Asking for suggestions without knowing what you're planning on doing is like asking a blind man what color shirt matches your eyes.
I'd say Khorne; sure it's risky and you've got a chance on rolling a one or even a double one. But then again, you do have the same chance on rolling 6's. I mean 12 attacks is not something to take lightly, heh.
Those other daemon weapons are nice, I don't like the Nurgle on that much though. Slaanesh is pretty cool though, being a power weapon that can cause instant death. The undivided one is to expensive to just give additional strength and the Tzeentch one. I don't know why, but I've modelled it on my termie lord. Well, for the fun of it, why not
How about none of them? I don't think any of them are worth their points compaired to a pair of lightning claws. Sure you can go big, but you can also do absolutly nothing. I need consistancy and the lighting claws give that to me.
Futhermore the chance to wound yourself is just handing VPs to your opponent. That 1 wound is 1/2 the points of the character. That alone might lose you a game.
If you really want the tzeench shooting attack, I think a sorcerer with doombolt does a fine job for less and gets a forceweapon.
For me it comes back to paying points to hurt myself just isn't worth it, no mater how good it CAN be. Also I can't think of anything worse then rolling a 1 and just not attacking when I'm in CC with any marine squad with a powerfist.
I like the Slaanesh one because I play a majority of Eldar players. The incredible initiative makes me strike at least simultaneously. And since they are T3, I don't have to worry as much about S4.
If you really want to tool out, I would take a Khorne Lord on a Juggernaut. 18 potential attacks at S5? Even at probability its 11 attacks. For 170 points. Too bad its slow.
