Im currently thinking of taking a 4 man terme squad with heavy flamer and a sorc in terme armour as well, they all would be mounted in a land raider so i can speed across the field lash of submission/flame and charge a unit. The thing im wondering is is it worth it to use termes this way or would it be more effective to take 2 units of 5+ and deep strike them instead.
5 Termies with a heavy flamer in a Land Raider is always an effective choice. The Lash sorceror doesn't really have to be with the squad for lash to be useful.
Deepstriking with heavy flamers is a severe risk...I wouldn't do it. With autocannons, I would walk onto the board instead of deepstriking.
In the new Codex, I think the Land Raider is actually more useful as a heavy tank than as a transport (although it can do both), meaning it has a different role than a Terminator squad. Plan your list accordingly.

As Intrepid said, the land raider is viable in 4th edition. Daemonic possession is a nice upgrade, as the land raider has twin linked weapons. Plus, d. possession no longer prohibits the vehicle from carry passengers.
Given the expensive nature of land raiders, it might be best not to include a sorcerer as one of the occupants, simply to help spread out your points a little. Avoid that 'all eggs in the same basket' problem. Five termis with 4x combi-plasmas & a heavy flamer is a cheap yet effective configuration for loading up in your land raider.
A note about deep striking: The heavy flamer is phenomenally successful, now that our icons function as teleport homers. Don't forget that a squad inside a rhino can actually use their icon (while actually in the rhino) for deep striking purposes. Read up on it, if you have not yet done so. Without scatter, the heavy flamer is obvious a very effective swarm killer, but it's also statistically just as effective against marines as a rapid firing combi-plasma gun. I'd avoid using the reaper for general builds, as it's 5 times the cost of the flamer. AND, don't forget about combi-plasmas. Again, with deep striking off of icons, the rapid firing potential- coupled with a single heavy flamer- adds enormous 'first strike' advantage for the termis. A 5 man squad can tear into anything your opponent fields, save for heavily armored tanks. Just something to bear in mind

Personaly id go for the LandRaider, Purely because if they know whats in it, and its speeding at them, its going to draw a lot of fire off your other troops, ass some smoke launchers and extra armour and your enemys got a tough nut to crack.
