do any of the chaos players hate or fear the DH's?
if not what is your strategy against them?
"Advance, or it will not be daemonic blood that stains my hammer this day."
Inquisitor Lord Hephaestos Grudd, addressing Colonel Molain of the 223rd Gudrunite Rifles.
Nope. . .
My strategy would be to use thousand sons and inferno bolt them back to the emperor! Woot!!!:drinking::party:
But seriously I would.
Mainly becuase the new codex makes the Daemon Hunters much less effective and it just so happens AP 3 goes through space marine armour. Daemons are also a little harder to find now and many daemonic units are not found in as many lists contrary to the last codex. I believe many daemon hunter players know this to be true and I feel their pain. And I definately don't hate them even though they have some of the best models ever
Throw them some Chaos Marines with Icon of Slaanesh or Icon of Nurgle.
Icon of Slaanesh will negate their Sacred Incense bonus, and the Icon of Nurgle will at least give them a harder time to wound you.. 2+ and 3+ is a big difference. Also, equip your Chaos Marine with powerfist because you are either going to strike simultaneous or strike last so having a power weapon is not going to help you much.
Khorne Berzerkers are your best bet when fighting against Grey Knights when they get the charge. They have equal Weapon Skill, Initiate (with Sacred Incense), and only 1 less Strengh... the best thing is that a Berzerker champion can have up to 5 power fist attacks on the charge whereas a Grey Knight Justicar only has 3.
Avoid using daemons, unless you are playing in an apocalypse game where you'll be using Warp Rift... then your daemons get to come back via Warp Rift whenever they get destroyed. Since Apocalypse game dont tally victory points, your greater daemons will be piling onto the grey knight marines/terminators with ease.
The only threat that I see in a DH army is their Grandmaster. With the proper gear it can effectively strike simultaneousily with Initiative 6 (Sacred Incense), while half the Weapon Skills of your daemons (daemon prince too). I usually throw in my Slaanesh Lord on Steed with Daemon Weapon to double KO with the Grandmaster, since Grandmaster is a 0-1 choice so your opponent would not be able to take 2.
Psychic Powers may and may not work too effectively against the Daemonhunters too. Their aegis ability combined with Psychic Hood will deny your chance of throwing off spells more than 50% of the time... take Psychic Power at your own risk if you like to gamble (point sink is what I meant here).
Anima Tactics - try it out!
did you post a topic liek this in every forum
Blood for the Blood god
i<---- this should be a forum Smilie
In theory I don't think I should fear DH. As was said before TS bolters will tear through the powerarmoured loyalists. And the Bezerkers will not do bad at all.
Typically no army should fear another unless the opposing army has been tailored against your list. Then you have the slight chance to worry. All you need to do is change up your tactics and hit 'em hard.
New codex or old codex.
Chaos can deal with any threat.
We fear no one. Remember.. daemon hunters hunt daemons.
We're not daemons.. we use CSM.
Plus, we have ultra grit, which is far superior to true grit.
On a serious note though, the fight should get more interesting with codex ruinous powers.

Ultra grip/Uber grit= Bolter + BP CCW.
