How is everyone doing lately? slaughtering the loyalist dogs as best we can I hope  anyway, I was thinking about doing this for my army:
Sorcerer lord with terminator armor, Mot, Warptime, Wind of Chaos, combi weapon.
Lord, Mos, Blissgiver, Terminator armor.
3 Termi Champs, MoT, Combi meltas, Reaper Autocannon & chainfist
land raider, DP, Havoc launcher, dozerblade
Is this going to be a bad A** unit, or just a massive point sink that something far cheaper could do better. In case someone asks this unit will be supplemented by 2 10 man CSM squads, 1 havoc squad for tank hunting. Along with a unit of chosen. Also possibly a Dakka Pred, and 10 deamons.
Will I be hopelessly out gunned or will I be able to reap terrible vengeance on my foes?

If you're going to do a sorc. lord combo I'd say use a different psychic ability.
Your lord seems to be geared for the instant kill. So I would rather try to compliment that with a Sorc. using LoS. That way your guys get into CC. to rip things apart a lot faster.
Now... depending on what you feel like doing you have the choice of:
Combi-plamsa - pretty good for those pesky models with high T or 2+ saves.
Combi-melta - great for some tank busting just incase you run out of assault targets.
If you want them to go against tanks from time to time, I would suggest at least 1 chainfist on a termy. Though 2 would probably be best ( depending on how high the average armour you face is ). The reason is if you want to have a chance vs. vehicles you'll need some nasty popping potential. You do have the combi-meltas but if you use them up you can't go after tanks anymore. That's when those delicious chain fists come in.
It all depends on what types of players you fight. I found that the people I play against can easily stay out of termy range, unless I combine it with a LoS sorc. However, that is a lot of potential stored within one unit when you could spread it out. If you have one uber unit like this the enemy will either draw a lot of fire on it, or totally ignore and keep away. I'd rather have the enemy wondering whether to shoot the termy lord with his termies or the LoS sorc. with his raptors. Not to mention any other nasty stuff you might have on the board. ( Oblits, Defilers, Vind., Preds, etc... )
I don't like putting all my eggs in 1 basket. I'd rather have a LoS Sorc. flying around with a group of raptors, with zerkers in tow. That way if I'm close enough to assualt something with my raptors I can help the zerkers get closer to an enemy with LoS.
I don't like the termy lord. Not only is he slow but a lot of points for anti-infantry. Personally I would rather use a DP with either wings and LoS OR wings, warptime, and wind of chaos/doombolt. Both forms can take a lot of punishment, especially the tzeentch DP. Since most of the shots against him will be penetrate his armor, he'll still have a juicy 4+ inv. These guys are great vs. infantry and tanks. You are either dragging your enemies into you for some delicious CC. ownage OR you're re-rolling hits/wounds for CC. & your WoC/Doombolt.

fluff wise that would be an intresting ride (i don't think the lord would live through it 8X)
what point level will this be in
Blood for the Blood god
i<---- this should be a forum Smilie
inlukasha had some excellent insights. Let me also just say that investing 600+ points into a single unit with a transport is way above overkill. You'd be better off just having a single h.q., escorted by 4 termis. It's slightly more reasonable this way.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
To offer my personal opinion, though people have shut it down...If you're going to invest that many points into an HQ choice like that, go with Abaddon...All that bada** goodness in one model...backed with your termie champs in the Land Raider...You've got roughly the same number of points, one less HQ choice(in case you REALLY want to run two...), and just fun times with Abaddon...
I know...people advise against me...I have a friend who uses him a lot and is really satisfied with his performance...oh well...that's my two cents...take it or leave it
And remember: Do what you are comfortable with and what you know how to play. If it's just a fun game with a friend, then experiment as much as you want, but be sure to reinforce what you know well.:C
thank you all, a Minor revision I have made is to turn the Lord into a MoT lord, with a chainfist and combi I think this will be alot safer in battle than the deamon wepon I think. My plan in the begging was to run all of the terminator clad behemoths right up to an enemy squad, pop them out and as soon as they come out the Pskyer casts some warptime, then uses wind to thin them out before they crash headlong into the squad. While the carnage is going on in CC the land raider will screen from tanks, and otherwise cause well CHAOS!!!!!! then after everyone is dead in that squad its back in the car and onto the neighbors!
