well the title is pretty much my question, how do u!!!! he has a 4+ inv reroll so he will not die easily, and he can pawn you easily in combat with a fully mastercrafted an twinlinked force weapon(after his psychic power that is...) !!! sorry but this guy is O.T.T and overpowered, any ways in which i can kill him with berzekers, a DP, a predetor and nosiemarines? well the way i face him is that he is in a command squad with a chaplain and lots of melta people and furious charge, yes, a librarian at I6 with S5 force weapon rerolled....god..., and he rides up in a landraider crusader . im sure someone knows how to pawn this nooby marine out of exsistence?
One psychic power per turn. He can't put that power on and still force weapon you.
This is why my fellow loyalist players concieve of weird things like a command squad with a junior librarian to put this power on the big one, so he can force weapon the bejeezus out of things.
A force weapon is still a power weapon though.
A librarian with all that equipment, a chaplainand vet skills is going to cost a hella lot not to mention the LRC.
now think about how many havocs with missile launchers you can get 12? maybe more?
you could use bikers with meltaguns to pop the tank (2x3 man squads thats 4 meltas), if the librarian doesn't takes wound when the LRC is destroyed, then he is still entanged and after that leaving the command squad slugging there way towards instant killer missiles ignoring their saves and eventually the librarian will fail a save due to volume of fire.
any marine wounded is dead
the chaplain has a 50% of being instant killed with each wound
the librarian has a 25% chance of being instant killed with each wound (its probably slightly different, but I'm not great with maths )
its a bit cheap, but fight fire with fire tbh
I feel like a bit of a traitor for saying this, but there's also the fact that Veil Of Time only lasts for the Space Marine Player's Turn. This means that during your turn you can shoot/assault him as you will and he cannot reroll any saves or so on.
I use this power as a boon to charging. The real key is to avoid being charged!
As was noted before the insta-kill feature of the Force Weapon cannot be used as well as Veil of Time, however you can still use the force weapon as a power weapon as usual.
Hope this helps!
Ha, its easy! He is in a transport! You need fast movers with meltas IE, bikes or raptors and a load of lascannons.
He moves the land raider towards you, you swoop onto it, blocking the exits with models so no single model can escape without being within an inch of another enemy model. Then you cause a single penertrating hit with anything you can. He MUST disembark, but cant as there is not space to do so, thus all models transported are destroyed.
Jobs a Good 'un ;Y
i say try to smash them with 1-2 vindicators. With there high strength and special rolls agains tanks you can spend the first 2 turns pounding the unit and LRC into jelly.
The Libby's in a command squad, Andu, using furious charge, so...with the familiar the Libby is then I7 on the charge, I6 normally, yikes.
I use this Libby quite a bit, albeit with a jump pack and without an expensive command squad. Newer players get crushed by him mostly, but here's a few things that experienced players have done to take him down.
1. Lots and lots of shooting - Once you get him out of the LRC, and you should do so with plenty of melta weapons, light him up. He can't move that fast out of the LRC, so get away from him as soon as you can with whatever you can and just pound bullets into him.
2. Veil of Time is only for the SM turn. This is crucial. During your turn, he doesn't get any rerolls.
3. On that note, if you're stuck in close combat, here's the plan. It hurts but it will hurt him. In his turn, he charges you, using veil of time. This hurts. Hopefully your unit lasts the combat. If so, then you counter-charge into the Librarian. At this point, hopefully the familiar is dead like Andu said, and the Libby is down to I5. Pound him with everything, especially power weapons. Without rerolling, he's going to lose some 4+ rolls.
4. It helps to hit him with force weapons and high strength insta-death weapons, as you can carve through his 3 wounds quickly this way, providing he's not wearing the Adamantium Mantle, which he couldn't wear with an Iron Halo anyway.
So, hope this is helpful.
Edit: Wait, wait, I mean....Death to the False Gods!
You could always bring a Sorcerer with a Mark of Slaneesh and Warptime and even Gift of Chaos, just for kicks, nothing like the look on a powergamer's face (which, this guy may not be, just saying...) when you turn his most powerful model into a Spawn that you get to use.
"If you can wait til I get home, then I swear we can make this last."
