I am such a post whore today (hope that doesn't count as cussing), anyways, i was wondering if anyone has as much trouble as i do with getting the damn heavy bolter to fit onto a space marine properly? I tried about 30 times with the last Hbolter and after that i decided id just give him a bolter instead cos i didn't want to spend anymore time on it.
Anyone got a special way to go about setting it up to glue?
You are not using the same "front arm" for HB as for regular bolter are you? There's a special "front arm" for the HB.
Nah I'm using the right arm, the one thats cut-off at the wrist right? But if I glue that on, then put that on the arm, the other arm wont align with the top of the bolter, and to hold the bolter still, glue both arms in place at the same time WHILE placing it on the torso... its just too much for my brain
I generally use a glue that dry fast, but not too fast. Then I put glue where the arms join the shoulders. I then hold the arms in place with one hand and the use the HB to quickly align the arms before the glue dries.
I hold like this:
| thumb | arm | torso | other arm | index finger |

Haha, i got one just done, but the other one i screwed up so many times the details on the damn bolter were ruined so i cut it down
The one i did just then, i got lazy with thought, i wanted them all to have their 2nd hand lying dead FLAT along the top of the bolter, but i guess id rather have 2 bolters done in 2 minutes than no bolters in 60...
